I tried it, it tastes AMAZING! I am doing something wrong or one important detail, I am not following. I made it twice the tastes is out of this world, however both times parts of the side walls just breaks and therefore the cake falls apart - this happens after the one hour when I take the spring ring off and put it back for another 20 minutes at higher temperature. the walls fall apart at that point - please tell me what am I doing wrong?
WOW! At Greekfest in the city I live in, they make baklava sundaes. My twin 5 yr old great niece and nephew and my 3 yr old great niece loved the sundae. Can't wait to rock their world with this. It combines 2 of my favorites as well. A friend's mother taught me how to make baklava as a teenager, but she also made it sometimes in muffin tins (called birds nests) as individual servings. I will also try making this recipe that way as I live alone and it would be easier to transport to my family and friends (I'll let you know how that works). My sister-in-law and her family will also be celebrating Eid (hope I spelled that right) and I'm always invited to the festivities. Perhaps this is what I will take! Thanks for sharing. How do I adjust the ratios of the ingredients to each other when I’m trying to increase or reduce the quantity of ingredients to suit my required cake amount. Like let’s say I increase my number of cups of flour from 2 to 3 and a half,then how do I adjust my tea spoons of baking powder and baking soda to match the flour?
This looks beautiful. However my first experience with cheesecake and baklava was terrible. The cheesecake was too sweet, I dont know if that is how it is supposes to taste like. The baklava as well just too sweet, I could not finish a spoonful. I wonder if maybe they were both not made well
What I do with every recipe for the first time around is reduce the sugar and see how it comes out - then make additional changes after its made so the next time it will be perfect for your tast buds.
