I did this test and didn't understand. watching you and how to read it opened my eyes. took a container of the pool water to Leslie pool. 150 parts per million. draining the pool now.
Alkalinity and pH Up is really good and it works great
Our pool store here in Florida says that "ideal level" for our saltwater pool here in Central Florida is between 60-80 ppm. Does location or the fact that it's a saltwater pool account for the difference from what you say is "ideal?
I'm in Ft Lauderdale and my local Pinch a Penny just recommended to keep mine between 60-80, as well.
How long after adding stabilizer granules can I test it’s level
That black dot thing is kind of subjective as to how good your vision is as well…
Yes, this is true; the amount of ambient light could also affect results.
@@Inyopools I never feel like my results are accurate because of it.
On that particular test, yes. I do the test at home (Taylor) and sometimes I never stop seeing the dot at least a little. When I take it somewhere and have it tested same day, it’s at 70.
@@tjhughes7740 I’ve heard that as well, but if I take the same water and test mine before I leave, why would the only inaccurate test be the cyanauric acid?
@@tjhughes7740 perhaps.
So how did you use less reagent than the Taylor one?
That's not what he said. He said you use it up quickly. It's all relative. Look how big the pentair kit is compared to the taylor. You get more tests out of pentair.
When I tested my pool it's saying my stabilizer is low my pH is low too and my alkalinity is low too also my chlorine is okay
I'd add some alkalinity. That will bring up your alkalinity and pH level. Then adjust your stabilizer.
Its all black magic. One person can see it, another can not, then you maybe can maybe not see it. Chemical companies see your money with no issues.
Level is zero even after adding conditioner
Why?? Help please!
How much conditioner did you use? And how many gallons ?
