Yes! Confirm using tap water.

I have the same issue. The dot never disappears and the water is clear not cloudy.

I'm always like, "can I see the dot? I think I can see the dot. I think still see it." Makes me crazy.

What if there is no black dot? Can I make one with a sharpie?

There should be… I guess you could, but test the accuracy against another test from the pool store maybe?
