I am told this song is played at around 190 bpm. That is faster than Battery by Metallica. It is obvious that they enjoy pushing themselves when they perform. They do it for love of the music. This is one of my favorite metal songs of all time already. All hail the amazing ladies of Lovebites.
You are spot on about Lovebites, they have variety in there songs, they change it up all the time. Reminds me a lot of the seventies when bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy etc had variety in their music, they were experimenting with different sounds and tempos, then for reason bands in the eighties started focusing on a sound and stuck with it. Lovebites have so much music to draw inspiration from and make so much more original music with that Lovebites flair.
I attended the live concert at Tokyo Garden Theater on September 1st. Usually, I listen to music at home either through my JBL speakers at full volume or with my headphones turned up to the point just before the sound starts to crack. The live concert, however, not only had amazing sound quality but also an incredibly powerful volume that exceeded even the maximum volume of my headphones! It was a moment that will be a lifelong memory.
We all know that when the girls put their feet upon the risers you're gonna be looking for your face in a couple of minutes, awesome song, Haruna is going to town on her kit (probably to buy a replacementkit) singing and guitarwork are of this planet, i love them so much and M&M show why they are the queens of Metal, great reaction keep it up 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Any argument that this band isn't insanely talented just got blown away, LIVE no less!!! Everyone is stellar here especially M&M, but how about Haruna and her power driving beats. I can't believe that kit survived this song intact. If she was an MMA fighter her opponent would have tapped out multiple times during this presentation...LOL. How are those instruments not ablaze after this number???
While power metal is not my favorite style of metal, I still cannot help but take my hat off for Miyako. You leave this girl alone with a pasokon for a week and she would come up with a full album, all composed and arranged.
“some people didn’t like Unchained because it was different” Is that really how you see it? I like different, what I didn’t like is the more commercial approach to it. Unchained has shorter solos with less emphasis on the instrumentals, and more of an emphasis on Asami with a catchy chorus and shorter song. It is designed to reach a wider audience (like Spotify listeners), but likely won’t IMO. To me it doesn’t stand up well against some of their older songs, but at the same time is not a new divergence either (like no Fami influences, bass solo, or whatnot), so nothing really stands out to me. Different is fine, but it is the kind of different that matters.
I get what you mean but I was referring more to the use of keyboards and the hard rock sound. For me personally it doesn't matter if a band tries to be more commercial if the song still sounds like them and the lable don't forced them to write songs like that. I trust these ladies in ther craft.
