trump still doesn't get the idea of tempo. Watched some kripp and i was enlightened with the power of tempo. Well trump is mayor of the value town, not tempo- or gamewining- town XD
I was screaming at my laptop "play that darn Minibot, what are you saving it for?". Trump sometimes is REALLY greedy. Kripp may be a sore loser but he would have won the first game.
You may be right about the tempo stuff but he definitely didn't lose that because he didn't play mini-bot
he screwed up 2nd game too could have killed both spawns of nzoth with the 2 damage to all non murlocs card.

Meh, at that point in draft it was looking like an aggro arena draft. didn't turn out that way but it was actually pretty close.

yeah ok, but cleric is reasonable with a huge downside (no board or topdeck). And bog creeper is an arena mvp. I've never played that card and felt bad about it. Kripp swears by it and he plays as close to an unhealthy amount of arena as you can.
But I'll look into that podcast. Anything that gets me to a 6 win average :P
From my experience having late game in this mage infested meta is what will bring you to 12 wins.Going full aggro almost never works out for me,I always need the late game meat and I don't struggle with the early game.
My first 12 win was with rogue and it had Baron Geddon,sunwalker,argent commander,spiteful smith and 2 Dark Iron Skulkers so in conclusion midrange is the best

That paladin didn't really get lucky, they could have drawn a lot of cards that would have saved them from that situation.

Speaking of 'pick the worst cards drafts' you should do some like gimmicky draft runs for fun. Like allways picking the card in the first slot or an alphabet draft.

Imho if you ever find yourself debating whether to either play a light in the darkness or make a guy, you probably shouldn't even draft it
nah. if he chooses to play it asap, he gets less overall value because he misses a guy on that turn, whereas he doesn't miss a guy if he waits to play it. so its not that the guy is more valuable than the card, it's that he can get more total value by waiting.
countoonce but arena is so tempo focused that unless you already have the excess mana, trying to eek out value from your hero power over 2 turns plus having the slow play of discovering the minion is just too much
123SEA1 depends on the situation. when people talk about arena being very tempo focused, i think that only truly applies to the early game, where every mana crystal used has tremendous impact on the board state which leads to a snowball effect. When you know you're not going to get shut out by making too slow of a play in the late game and the game looks to be decided by who gets the most value over time, trump's play makes sense.
I think people don't really understand what the role of a light in the darkness is in a Paladin draft. You DO NOT want to play a light in the dark in the early game unless you have no follow up. For example you have no 2 or 3 drop, THEN you play Light in the Dark on turn 2 hoping to get a 1, 2 or 3 drop for turn 3. In the Mid game hero power is more important because a source of 1 damage can be a life saver. There are times where a single recruit can make a huge difference, as opposed to getting a random minion (usually you don't even know what minion you would want since you can't read which direction the match is going based only on your own hand and the board state).
What Light in the Darkness should be used for is discovering a big minion in the late game. Anything 5 mana or above works as a good late game threat. Light in the Dark can also give you big minion removal such as Aldor or Uldaman or Eadric. By far the best minion to get out of Light in the Dark is Tirion, because that's basicly what you picked the card for.
misplayed first game badly. didnt trade correctly and used hero power instead of shielded minibot which requires two attacks to kill instead of one. also the early attack doing damage to your own face was a waste because he was going to trade off your dragon anyway

... so ermmm, what's the point of this Arena marathon coming up? the pirate deck is near complete, is it not? I guess you could craft Leeroy (or just Rocketeer instead) and Sir Finley is 3rd Wing so that's too far to grind up in a month probably, but I'm failing to see what's the point of Arena when one could just attempt to get legend with the current setup.
... or is this going to be a repeat scenario where you buy all of BRM and go Dragon Warrior instead?
