I think this gives a good example that Messicks and Krone take good care of your bailer, the guarantee covers the work hours of these two employees , i understand the parts you must pay Wes, a big bailer is wearing out faster, than a smaller one, thanks for sharing with us Wes and Teresa

I love your videos OLF the first thing I do in the morning is check your page for the new one. Around here most of the farms are either 50 to 100 acres or 2,500 and up, and the big farmers have taken ground from the smaller guys so they are better than the rest of us and won't even talk to the rest of us. So I'm glad that even though you farm on a large scale your not one of those guys, and you share your infinite knowledge and advice with us thank you and keep up the great work

well this is an a shop not the typical auto shop... farmers are around this stuff all the time and know how to steer clear of it, they quit letting customers in the auto shops because most people are sue-happy idiots who couldn't even walk around in there without getting themselves hurt...
      later! OL J R

You just can't beat this sort of annual servicing. When you try and do it yourself it just isn't as good as you don't get to see the numbers of machines with all the little things that go wrong and don't get to learn what to look for. I would suggest with the warranty you have and the work you do this is a great yearly option.

Good Video. Messicks is lucky to have Mechanic like him. He knows his stuff and seems like", he likes to help Customers that take care of his own Machinery. Guy is good. GREASE IS CHEAP. Love that saying !!!!!
Also Wes. Been watching for quite awhile. Invest in a better microphone buddy.

Technicians seldom get to go on "vacations" to seminars... those are reserved for managers who don't actually do the labor. Seminars are often held in vacation spots to attract participation.

    • @ml2trick
      @ml2trick 7 років тому +3

That is the problem in Merica and around the World. The Wrong guys are sent to the Factory's. Managers are sent then they come back and do not teach that well ". Company's need to send Mechanics and not Book readers, taught at a Tech School or whatever. We get to watch Videos and they encourage taking them home. I told my boss pay me to watch them or i walk. I watch on company time or they give me a raise at the end of the month for watching them. They are well made by "Good Company's". Learn a lot and they get a smarter me.

Great to see the Krone is working out well. Doesn't seem to be a lot of issues considering the use and ground you are baling. Nice to have good shop support and relationship with Messicks too. Just think of the cost of having 10 small balers and tractors running around along with the time to maintain and repair. The Krone was a good decision.

I am not a farmer and don't know my butt from the buckwheat on maybe 3/4 of what you are talking about. However, I am an engineer who has been around - a lot! I know bullshit when I hear it or see it. From my limited perspective, Krone seems to be serious about what they produce and how it delivers on their promises. Messicks seems to also have their shit straight with a trained work force. Either one can make the other look good, or the opposite by simply not doing their job. The real truth will show itself in the fields next season. Stay tuned boys and girls!

  • @bradchoq

splice in an air hose on the back side of the knotter compressor and blow off the box with an air wand? That might be dangerous because the baler would have to be running to blow the boxes off manually?
....or splice in the manifold on the knotters so every time it blows off the knotters it will blow off the twine box? Does that system have an air tank like an air compressor system?

I wonder how many of the people saying they can run 10K bails without a problem are bailing mulch hay and wet hay a lot of the time? I suspect most of them are bailing good hay. You aren't doing forage, but I bet the stuff you bail puts a lot more wear and strain on a bailer than good clean Midwest hay. It looks to me like that machine is doing very well.

some just cant fathom the qty of hay 10000 big bales equals. also small balers run slower they arent high capacity. you can run a small baler with 35 horse. this baler requires 180+ hp tractor you are not going 5mph either with this baler. one tries to do to a smaller baler what you do with this one none would survive...

what happened to driving a kubota? I know you drink your daily cup of JD Kool-Aid and will never give the Kubota a fair shot. and I know that they don't make a tractor big enough to run the krone. but if you were to compare a comprable John Deere to a comprable Kubota, I know the Kubota would hold its own. I run a snow removal business and have had 3 new JD tractors that all have had major issues. three years with a kubota and no issues.

other than the 2305 we have had nothing but issues with the JD stuff.

It's a lie that you don't have to do anything after 10.000 bales small or big..a lie to oneself then to others. Either you are not smart or like to lie to others. Hell, even after 500 small bales you at least have to grease the baler and check knotters. I don't know who said it but it's irresponsible.
