HAHAA the musical number!!! I love these girls' outfits. As always, love your reviews and how they really help your viewer sample the film yet without spoiling it.
I am going to have to check this one out. Kristen Baker coming out of the lake in Friday the 13th is one of the earliest nude scenes I can recall, so she has a special place in my memory, (the other being Lisa Glaser, Humanoids from the Deep) It sounds like something light to watch and not have to think about, which we all need sometimes.
I saw the movie in the theater. "Give Me All of My Friends" or something like that was the name of the song. I *loved* the misdirection scene and have always remembered it. It's one of my all-time favorite scenes in movies. What I thought, when I saw the movie when it came out, was that the girls sold all the gas they took from the competitor, because it couldn't last forever.
In college in Michigan in the early 70’s we did a project for our sociology class. One of the guys on our project had a dad that owned a gas station (back when you could own gas stations). We had a couple of good looking girls dressed sort of like the ones in the move. We filmed the reaction of the men and women customers when the girls would pump the gas, check the oil, and clean the windshield. It was uncommon then where we were for women to work at a gas station. We got an “A” for the project.
@@XploitationRR : I provided the camera, an 8mm black and white film one. No sound attached. I sat in a van and tried to get as many close ups as I could. We also had a guy as an attendant. After filming we talked about what was said. The interesting thing was how the male drivers would try to help the girls to open the hood, check the oil, and clean the windows of the cars which they didn’t do for the male attendant. You have to remember that the times were slowly changing in the early 70’s regarding women’s roles in different types of jobs.
Leslie King, who plays one of the other girls had her own little exploitation career in Cheerleaders Wild Weekend, and Jennifer (which I also recommend). She also wrote a couple vampire movies (To Die For 1 & 2) that I’ve yet to see...
Haha! I would have loved to see Russ Meyer dp a nudie musical! Nice to see Joe E Ross is in this one. I'm currently watching him in The Naked Zoo, 1970. A Russ Meyer type sex comedy with Rita Hayworth. Lots of god old fashioned t and a so far!
I think Russ would have been great musical director or music video director -- actually I think he did direct a music video near the end of his career. Since he didn't care so much about story and liked fast-paced editing, music videos would have been a good fit.
You like what you see? Then why not tuck a few bills into my virtual waistband?

A sad gas station song IS an odd choice for a teen sex comedy :)
I first saw this fun film at my local Georgia drive-in back in the summer of 1979. I went to see it for Kirsten Baker.
That's a good reason to go to the drive-in :)

Lisa Glaser = Best Camping Partner Ever!

Yeah, that makes sense. They should have at least had a line like "Well, that didn't last long." That would have helped me :)

0:55 hey, its Huntz Hall from the Dead End Kids/Bowery Boys!
I had ZERO idea that was the blonde from Friday the 13th Part 2.
She had darker hair in Friday the 13th. That threw me off.
@@BrandonLovesTheMovies A drinking problem you say? A woman after my own tastes :)
Meyer should have directed one of the Friday tyhe 13th moviees, that would have been an interesting blend of genres.@@XploitationRR
Shot by the kid who shot Dolemite...and Texasville? #RANGE
Sheesh, 70's girls were too hot. And that's an important message you left us at the end there.
Yeah it's amazing how great people can look when they are all thin. :)
@@XploitationRR 😆
I need to watch this one. My tank is almost empty anyway 😅
I'm sure the girls would be happy to fill it up for you :)

So many talented people in one movie. Weird only like 800 people have rated it on IMDb.
I can't remember that movie 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Id love to hear your review of the 1956 Janes Mansfield classic female jungle.
i haven't seen that one. I'll check it out. Thanks!
Have you ever seen "Almost Summer" (1978) with Phoebe Cates and Matthew Modine?
I don't think so, but maybe. Watched tons of that kinda stuff back in the 80s.
Are you thinking of Private School from 1983? Neither Cates or Modine had started acting in 1978.
@@surfdigbythat's exactly what it is because neither one of those were in nothing in 78 they hadn't even started acting like you just stated
