Watching Amos N Andy was a family affair. These were the most skilled and professional actors ever, they gave us pure enjoyment and laughter. We grew up with other greats like the Little Rascals, Abbott and Costello, Laura 😢😮and Hardy, Red Skelton, Sid Ceasar, and so many more. The comedy of the 50s and 60s were the greatest.

Holy cow! Can’t get past the Kingfish. This is priceless comedy. No foul language, or anything inappropriate. 😆😆😆

Why do those qualities matter? Comedy is subjective and all but just because something had a word you don’t like or touches a subject you find “foul” dosnt lent make family friendly comedy better or more worthwhile. They both have their merit individually. I always get a solid laugh from these comments as if these people are free from flaws or something and too precious to hear a naughty word. While this is funny nothing about it is knee slapping or going to make double over in laughter which is kind of the pint of a comedy right?

OMG, these were fantastically talented actors and actresses. I only wish they had been appreciated during their time, and were able to make many more episodes.

Yes indeed. Most of these episodes have a lesson hidden in them somewhere. The gist of many of the lessons are that it would have been much much-easier,cheaper,better etc to do things RIGHT,from the get-go. Kingfish usually ends-up cheating himself in the end because usually several people are mad at him at any given time. Nothing is really learned from any of Kingfish's debacles, his friends and family continue to indulge in his schemes, and the Kingfish continues to pull his scams and flim-flams.
If they smartened-up there would be no show!

If the stock was worthless then kingfish should have just given the $$ back to Andy - no need to beg Andy for worthless pieces of paper.

Kingfish mentions "the Alaskan government." He didn't refer to Alaska as a state because this episode was filmed eight years and four months before Alaska was admitted into the union.

Sorry to disappoint you but if you want to see examples of Tim Moore's handwriting you'll have to look online. I've seen his handwriting enough times that I recognize it now.

Husband and wives slept in different beds, the censors and editors wanted to project a wholesome image , everything wasn't hypersexualized. Twerking and closeted queens taking the plot to never never land. It was wholesome, the entire family could sit and enjoy. Alice/Ralph,Rob/Laura,Ricky/Lucy=it was wholesome television.
