Mine gets here tomorrow. This is a dope demo. I generally make lower BPM hip hop and experimental ambient type music. There's not anyone making beats that I'm into on the Perkons, except one other channel. It was cool to hear this.
Also best demo by far
wow, congrats!
I absolutely luv the word "knobage". Those are fine phat knobs. - she said
This drum machine is an absolute beast, I can confirm.
Thought about Pulsar, which is also amazing, but…. Wanted to be able to have a good time, no patching clips in the way, and just instant playability… this ticks every box.
Expensive, but both boxes combine together so beautifully. I feed clock from Perkons to Pulsar and it's all I use for drums anymore.
I love this video it is definitely something I’ll snag after this kyma7 and apu based acquisition…. I hope it doesn’t exceed 3,000$( the pérkons that is)
A few months back I bought a pulsar 23 but didnt gel with it after a few months and ended up selling it. Really wish i had bought one of these instead! Might start saving again!!! 😂
Do you have a modular synthesizer??? If so it’s insane…. Especially with midi effects on a hybrid setup
I added cloudbuster from errorinstruments just because I had everything else filled with a modular gear in and out on the multiple outs…. It’s a idm dream machine …. This drum machine is great in a different way, but it too isn’t a drum synthesizer alone.. you might also like the blast beats from twisted electrons… its not this though
This is a great synth without a doubt…. It’s rad and has immense potential as well… I’m very disappointed in the syntrx 2 especially not the one as much as the first but neither is sonically close… the pérkons however is considerably more , drum synths, that are open and expert at being insanely variable those are the drum synths I love. they are just their own thing, I’m just an AK EMS fanatic and thing the ball was missed by not recreating the actual circuitry sound freak and portabella did a better job… I think the more open the system the better….
.with concepts that are aimed at experimental percussive/transients- that can become an outright synthesizer as well… the openess is based upon access to other options.. this is a great example of that, I just see it as so different from the pulsar it’s not these are not aimed at the same people … I recommend exploring the delete function as a way to shape the audio.. just for fun and using using the lfo the the and Shaos as clocks and bringing in every type of synthesis imaginable and function before triggering them use the slow clock rate to get accurate looping with human-ness raise the speed and use rapid burst of delete to get linear drumming…. I love mixing it with the Benjolin (rip Rob Hordijk) to modulate and using the sound as through …. Also a modular functions are easily imported… but I would just hang on to it and combine it with the Erica pérkons hd drum synth…. Albums would come quick with some digital sound design included…. Or strange fx
Would like to hear the kick with drive lower than 100%
Great techno, glitch beats and sound design beast…. Would love to hear you make it Boom Bap….we can only what J DILLA’s next sound would have been like after DILLATRONIC…. Super fun stuff from you as usual Jade…keep having fun 👾
Damn, I want one so baad. Tempted to sell my taylor for it. Idk tho. I'll just stay saving up and hope I dont bite the bullet on other gear. Perfect drum machine imo. Seems super fun to play live
OTHER OBSERVATIONS - JUNO X SOUNDS LIKE A XEROX MACHINE , HYDRASYNTH SUX , GAIA 2 SOUNDS BEYOND HARSH AND MINILOGUE SOUNDS THE SAME - THE 2 NORDS I PLAYED SOUNDED AMAZING- NEXT UP OBERHEIM AND PROPHET AND MOOG - LOGIC ON UA-cam THEN YOU TEST AT YOUR LOCAL AND FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE
I'm digging the sound of this. Those RS7000/RM1X buttons are possibly the weak link. They are notorious for getting spotty over time.
they look more like an 808 style button than rm1x
More like 80s synth buttons.
Same buttons on old JL Cooper gear and the Social Entropy mixer. Nothing like the cheap ass Yamaha buttons. Fail.
Sequential Circuits uses those buttons. Your little Yamaha buttons are entirely different.
How good is this at softer lofi beats over hard techno stuff?
more on the experimental side than bread and butter type drums
@@JAdeWii_ yeh, concerned it doesn't have much by way of range 🥲🥲🥲
is that a memory card? might as well include samples
I loved Erica long time ago. Sounds great. But when you speak about the size of it - it's... acceptable
if buy new drumcomputer today? - HELP ► Perkons or Analog Rytm or just a syntakt+heatFX, for studio use as daw hybrid?
The Perkons is no menu diving but all muscle memory and not a sampler. The RYTM is more of a drum computer, both are dope- the Perkons is more fun to play and takes less time to get something going. The RYTM is deep but takes more time. Hope that helps!
@@JAdeWii_thx for your opinion
@@Fixme_12 elektron has overbridge to use with DAW
Perkons and a Digitakt 2 would be my pick over the RYTM. If money were no issue of course :)
Perkons all day over rytm. rytm to me sounds choked and flat.
FINALLY TRIED THE TR8S I AINT EVEN GONNA BOTHER PRETENDING THOSE SEQUENCER BUTTON AINT WHACK, I DONT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE THINKING
