How to Bloom Dendrobium nobile hybrids

Hi guys! Welcome back to my channel :) I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while, life has been keeping me busy. In today’s video I wanted to share with you how I get my Dendrobium nobile hybrids to bloom. These are easily my favourite orchids to have during the winter time because that is when they come into flower and bring a wonderful taste of the oncoming spring into my home.
Dendrobium nobile hybrids put on new growths in the spring and summer and then tend to bloom in the fall, winter, and spring when there are cooler temperatures that help to set the flower buds. It’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it and I go over how I take care of them to bring them into flower in the video.
I also give you a quick look at the end of some other Dendrobium nobile hybrids that are flowering or spiking and getting ready to flower, plus I put some pictures up of all the different varieties I have bloomed over the years.

Excellent information, I am having problems getting them to bloom because I keep them in my greenhouse with Cattleyas and other orchids. I will try your suggestion because they are my favourite too. Thank you for the video and keep up the good work!👍🏻👍🏻

They’re really pretty. Unfortunately I don’t have the proper lighting to grow them. I have skyscraper’s that block most of the sun here in San Francisco.

They can grow under lights as well, or you can just add some supplemental lighting.
