Hya mate- Where was that from? If you don’t mind me asking. I just paid £210 today (well more real, £300 for the clasp and 2x links) to upgrade my Speedmaster
@@andrewwheeler8591 didn’t think to try ADs, assumed it would be cheaper via a boutique but might try abs few ADs as haven’t paid yet- see if I can find it cheaper before the boutique get back to me haha
@@manuel_winde Mine is the 3 position clasp without a dive extension. I found last summer 1 click was all I needed tbh and I don't dive so it does me fine. You'll find it's a godsend and wonder how you managed without! Anyway good luck and all the best 👍
After you get over the sticker shock on the price, I think the value proposition is solid. Especially given the investment into the watch itself and that beautiful bracelet. Anything you can do to keep that bracelet and have it more comfortable is win for $200.
I just spent £300/$330 on the clasp and 2 links for my Speedmaster. For me it’s worth it and if I wanted to offset the cost I’d probably get back £100 for the old speedy pro clasp on eBay. But I’m someone’s who weight fluctuates a lot and also someone who gets hot so on the fly adjustments are imperative for me. Really excited for when it gets here
I would definitely say it’s worth it. On the fly adjustment is great. I wish the microbrands could do something similar. Most of them look odd when the extension is open.
Nice upgrade and great review of the new clasp. I've ordered the adjustable clasp with 3 positions for my SMP. I don't any trouble sliding the watch off my wrist, but worth getting the larger 6 point adjustable clasp if that's the case. There's also one available with the 6 positions of adjustment with a diver extension as well. Thanks again for your review of the OEM adjustable clasp.😀👍
Do you know if the latest bracelet (which includes that clasp and screws) on the 42mm watches will fit the pre-ceramic 41mm models that used to have pins? Lug width on both is 20mm but wasn't sure.
I replaced the clasp on my discontinued (2017) Omega SMP, with an original Omega clasp for the new line (2018, 25th anniversary addition). This was ordered an installed by Raffi's Jewelers, where I made the purchase. Cheers.
@@cuestion-de-tiempo There are a few Raffi's locations across Ontario, Canada (where I live). You can also order the Omega part number from any authorized dealer or online.
Hi , is this the only part you need order to do the upgrade ? Do you need endlinks or anything ? I assume you might also need to remove a link or two to get the fit right ( depending on wrist size)
The replacement clasp is compatible with the older Seamaster bracelet, so you don't need any other components. Since the clasp is a bit longer, you might need to remove a link from the bracelet to have it sized for your wrist though.
It might depend on the size of the Aqua terra (like a 42mm version). The bracelet would have to be 20mm at the end, if you just wanted to try and get the Seamaster clasp to take.
EverydayWatchGuy I think the new one is 41mm with a 20mm lug so I think it would work? Just wondering if maybe this is an option. Would be pretty handy.
Matt Hoffman yeap, i mean this clasp will look good on a seamaster or speedmaster due to their sportier design. But personally i rly like the aqua terra clasp. I even ordered one clasp for safe keeping and intend to switch it when it’s time for service. I feel the clasp is easier to spoil than the movement due to constant opening and closing.
Got mine, £95 here in England 🏴 and worth every penny! 👍

What’s the model number for the clasp without the divers extension? Interested in doing this to mine! Thanks!

I think it's worth the investment because the other clasp didn't really give you options for micro adjust.
yes they are all of them
I have a 2010 Seamaster and my clasp is the same length as the new adjustable. Strange that Omega shortened the clasp just to lengthen it again!
I would definitely say it’s worth it. On the fly adjustment is great. I wish the microbrands could do something similar. Most of them look odd when the extension is open.
Yep, agree it would be nice if more micro-brands offered this level of micro-adjustment in their clasps.
Christopher Ward do and have excellent quality bracelets (and watches).
Would love that clasp but think my wrist are too small. With the clasp being bigger I won’t even need it

Been wearing my omega seamaster for 18 years without a micro adjustment clasp…a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist
many spring issues with the new clasp, im one the concerned people :/
Me too, replaced clasp twice within 18 months (bought brand new at Omega store), under warranty but still really annoying

Hi where did you get that rather nice tan watch roll?
Thanks Andy
Hi, is this an aftermarket clasp or original Omega?
Also whats the name of the jewellers that helped you getting the clasp? Thanks,

@@EverydayWatchGuy Thank you very much, what city are those jewellers located? I have an old Seamaster 2531.80.00 from the 90s.

Is this clasp available for the 45.5 planet ocean in titanium from the year 2014?
Will this clasp fit on an Aqua Terra?
Where did you get that bronze desk clock???
That is a Seiko Worldtime clock, which I had to track down on eBay. Kind regards!
Well done, definitely worth it ...
Thanks!
Can you replace this clasp with the butterfly clasp ? This clasp seems to be too big and i like the hidden clasp so you can get more bracelet
Not to my knowledge. But this watch also wears well on a strap with a butterfly clasp.
@@EverydayWatchGuy Thank my friend!!!!!
If you’re happy with it then it’s well worth the price of admission...I think it looks great!!!
Thanks for the feedback 👍
Looks great!

Is this Raffi in Cambridge Ontario? If so do you have a contact name? Looking to be a copy cat! Thanks.

@@matthoffman6962 I have the new aqua terra as well but i dont think this large clasp would suit the classic nature of aqua terra
BlackDread yeah I think you’re right. There may be some other after market options. But nothing from omega thus far
