Ford is not playing around. Lincoln resale values were higher than Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Cadillac last year, this is big for Lincoln because it shows that their image is improving.
Most of the Ford lineup isn't very competitive just now but the new Lincolns are really well done. Years ago, I thought they were just going to turn into a concierge service.
I've read several owners complaining about major issues with their new Aviators. If I was in the market, I'd wait until next year's model to purchase one of these. People are reporting transmission and engine problems within 3-5 days from what I recall. Guess that's what happens when you rush build something....
@@jordanchopra5038 that's because Fords shitty CEO jim Hackett decided to rush to retool an old assembly plant in a year (retooling takes years). So now all the new explorers and aviators have problems
IMO Lincoln is making the best designed crossovers and SUVs on the market. The Navigator, Aviator and Corsair are beautifully designed on the outside and especially the interior. I love how the Lincoln badge lights up gradually as you approach. Awesome!!
@@robertjones7565 What is "stunning" is the MSRP of a top trim Explorer that pushes or exceeds $60K, especially considering that a moderately optioned Reserve trim Aviator has an MSRP under $65K.

We just bought a fully loaded Reserve model this weekend when we planned on just looking at this vehicle and the Cadillac XT6. We had no intention of buying anything until this summer. After test driving the Aviator we were hooked! We went back to the dealership afterwards to test drive the XT6. Big mistake! Immediately after sitting in the XT6 there was no comparison. The Cadillac felt cheaper and less luxurious than the Lincoln. The general manager came out and asked if I was planning to test drive the XT6 after just having test driven the Aviator. He said don’t even bother. Nothing will change your mind and get you to consider buying the XT6 after driving it. He informed us that they have been selling about 5 Lincolns (Navigator/Aviator) for every Cadillac (Escalade/XT6). The dealership was a huge one that sold Lincoln, Cadillac, and Chevy in their respective buildings. He even said many people have been trading in their Cadillacs to get into the Lincolns. As far as the quality, craftsmanship, and build I have been completely floored by the way Lincoln has elevated their game! We traded in a 2003 Navigator that I was the original owner of. Back then it was amazing. But the difference since then has been leaps and bounds. We’ve even owned a 2013 Cadillac SRX and a 2013 CTS-V and again the quality, build, craftsmanship, and luxury are vastly different in the current Aviator! Lincoln has hit a home run with this vehicle! As far as the wind noise and rattles that you experienced, our vehicle didn’t have any issues when we drove it 180 miles home from where we purchased it from. I know after having purchased at least 10 different new vehicles in the past that some vehicles may inherently have some issues that are only present every now and then and seem to be outliers from the rest. Awesome review, BTW!
Love it... beautiful elegant styling, top-notch interior and distinctive without being over-the-top, flashy or shouting "look at me" like that new Genesis SUV hitting the streets soon.
K C never speak Ill of a genesis, this thing could never, the genesis will offer more tech better build quality and a a more luxurious interior and it’ll beat this things price by 10-15k easily.
I hope Lincoln and Ford have resolved those quality control issues that really plagued the first batches of new Aviators and Explorers that were sold late in 2019.
Lincoln: "let's make rwd suvs!" Also Lincoln: "let's make the continental concept that everyone loved fwd and take away everything that made it special!"
Lincoln parked a demo one of these outside the entrance of my gym over the summer and they are impressive in person. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and sitting in it definitely feels like they're on that BMW/Benz level. Love that there's a higher end option that doesn't come with German reliability issues
You know what I love about this gorgeous vehicle?? The fact that it has a fucking normal sized grill and not obnoxiously FUGLY like most. God dammit Lincoln this thing is fucking gorgeous.
The XT6 is *pathetic* compared to this. This car is literally competing neck in neck with vehicles like the Audi Q7, Lexus LX570, BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS. If this is a 2020 model imagine what the redesigned version will look like in 4-5 years. Lincoln got tired of being a Ford with chrome from the 00s to mid-10s and is now carving its own lane.
The seats take hours/days of driving to get them to where you want them but when you do, they’re insanely comfortable. There’s no such thing as Reserve 2, it’s called a Reserve with 202A equipment package and this one has the Dynamic Handling package ( air suspension), for those watching this that are serious about looking at buying.
I have a 2004 Aviator California Special (CS) with 70K on it. It has been a wonderful SUV that rides so smooth and purrs like a cat with its Mustang Bulitt engine. Looking forward to one day adding this gorgeous SUB to my garage. Thank you!
Absolutely love the new Aviator. If I were in the market for an SUV, the Aviator Black Label would be very high on my list. Love where lincoln is going.
Every car at this point should come with a heads up display, that displays Navigation, speed, and IR night vision. IR night vision is probably the most underrated feature that people don't realize is a huge benefit when your night driving.
Overall a good review - Would've been 1/2 as long if you hadn't used the word "Ford" 752 times... Yes it's made by Ford Motor Company, but it's a Lincoln... Hopefully you and other reviewers will stop comparing Ford to Lincoln - unless of course you do the same with Toyota (Land Cruiser) vs Lexus (LX); Cadillac (Escalade) vs GMC (Denali) vs Chevy (Tahoe) etc. Some of these vehicles are so similar, you've only been able to tell the difference - by the price tag... I doubt FoMoCo would develop a Lincoln to be in competition with a Ford product. So please compare FoMoCo products to comparable other auto brands and not with each other.
Loyal Gm/Cadillac buyer here, but have to say this absolutely eats the XT6's lunch. Caddy had better be doing an emergency overhaul for 2021. This is a very beautiful American SUV.

Perfect title. Lincoln Aviator ready to challenge “Zee Germans” *not* “Zee Cadillac XT6”, which this vehicle doesn’t directly compete with. They’re going after two entirely different customers and compete directly in two separate markets.
Lincoln absolutely KILLED IT with the Aviator, the one thing I have to say is why is that shade and style of leather seat straight of 2005 14:11. I bet it changed with different colors, but that is just hilarious
