This made my heart heavy. Thinking that after the overthrow, our people were stuck abroad on a mission they weren't able to complete for their country.
My mom's uncles, William Harbottle and James Hakuole were the two Royal Hawaiian Ali'i, great grandsons of Pai'ea Kamehameha, that Kalakaua sent to Tokyo to study at the Imperial University.
NEVER knew/learned about this side of Hawaiian history! Have noticed in several YT videos/podcasts, in general, that commentator's/presenter's are pronouncing "literal/literally" as ''Litcheral/Litcherally"...Why? Just an observation. No sleight on this channel's content/context...Maika'i No....Mahaaaalo!
