North Carolina A&T vs Louisville, First Round of 2013 NCAA Tournament

Number 1 seed Louisville meets number 16 seed North Caroline A&T in Rupp Arena, Thursday, March 21, 2013. Coming off a Final Four season, Louisville had won the Big East Regular Season and Conference Tournaments to earn their #1 seed. After finishing 8-8 in MEAC regular season, North Carolina A&T won four straight to capture the MEAC Conference Tournament crown. They then won their First Four round game vs. Liberty, 73-72, for the schools' first NCAA tournament win even, and a chance to meet Louisville in Lexington, KY.

When looking at the Sweet 16/title game matchups, it is worth noting that when we made the 2005 Final Four, our bracket (Albuquerque) had both Dana Altman (Creighton at that time, Oregon in 2013) and John Beilein (West Virginia at that time, Michigan in 2013)

Had we not lost to Michigan (who like against Michigan St in 2015, we led by 8 at halftime against and lost), we likely would have faced Oregon in the Sweet 16 (Kansas City, Missouri).
