I really love these videos. I don't know what it is about the videos, but they make it seem easier to translate than reading it within the whole text. My only ideas is that it helps prevent getting overwhelmed with so much Greek text on a page and also like I mentioned in another video's comments section, the font and display of the text is just so good. Really hoping things work out for the translation classes because I think the whole approach you provide is super conducive for learning and taking people to greater understanding of the Greek. Thanks again!!!
You are right. I simplify everything by (a) highlighting the grammar which I explain, and (b) choosing verses with simple beginning Greek vocabulary.
I do the same in my Greek classes slowly leading students to independent reading of Greek NT.
@@GreekForAllclasses? Which ones? I thought you only had the one class on your site. Could you share which classes you have? Thanks again.
@@Nathan00at78Uuiu I teach Greek classes at my university. This fall I will also be offering an online class of the beginning Greek (Sept-Dec) on my website. It will include my video course, all materials, and 30 Zoom sessions. At the end, we will translate 1 Jn 1-5 chapters.
that sounds good, no more than good; amazing! I'll start saving some money now in advance. hehe. So at some point how will we get notified of where and when enrollment is open?@@GreekForAll

Happy to serve!
I' love hearing you read the greek text, my teacher doesn't focus on the speaking of text but the translation, I'd love to one day do both only a fraction as good as you do brother...
Thanks. Blessings on your learning journey.
Thanks again Brutha, Great to hear you read the Koine text.
Have you recorded yourself reading the New Testament? I would love to listen to it.

God is good!
I taking greek right now and I am having a hard time translating , thanks for this!
I am glad it was helpful. Here is a rule of thumb on translating Greek: Find nom. case (this is your subject), find a verb, find acc. case - it is you direct object. This is the core of your sentence. Prepositional phrases could be translated on their own at any time. Then add other pieces to make sense of the sentence.
Where are you located? I'm in Los Angeles.
I am in Michigan.
Question do you fluently speak Koine greek? if so I would love to ask you a question in relation to a verse in the Bible in Hebrews 1:5 could it translation "for which of the angels did it ever say" as well as for which of the angels did he ever say" ?
It could be rendered either way. However, from the speech itself it is clear that God speaks, so it’s better to translate “he said” or “God said”
Great video.
However i find the letters a bit too small,
I am a beginner and do not yet have word recognition.THUMBS UP TO YOU..
Thanks! All the best to you!
I like your series and you are a good teacher, but think about to left out this very disturbing background music. Thanks.
Sure. I was just experimenting. Most of my videos don't have the background music. You are appreciated!
No, just get some first century Greek music. ;-)
