Damn so many smart moves, usually when watching playthroughs of games i either disagree with most moves or just straight up think theyre bad. You two play really smart, which is great to watch!

Haven't watched the video yet, but I am just so happy that playthroughs are back on the channel! I grew up watching Luke, Andrea, and Rodney(And Pep too of course!) play together and I've always missed the fun that came from that. Thank you to Monique and Naveen for continuing the tradition!

When you use the Support card you can, actually, place cubes on provinces that are adjacent to the home area of the colors, so at 11:50 Naveen could place cubes on Devon as well, if he wanted to.

Tbh this is my first time I ever watched a full playthrough of any game, and I’m glad I did. This helps me know the real tension in this game and gives me a better way to explain the flow of it to my wife for when we play, haha.

Really happy to see a playthrough of this as it's been on my radar for a long time. Oh, and if anyone cares, in English town names that end in "-wick," the "w" is silent. So Warwick is pronounced like WAR-ick, etc.

Really love this game, it's easy to set up and plays quickly. A good game to get in during the day with young children :)

One of the absolute best 2 player fillers. I haven't yet played it with three, I worry it could become too chaotic. One of my favorite designs, it's just pure tense fun.

Nicely done folks, your playthroughs are so accessible and easy to watch. You seem so welcoming and now here you are with the wonderful Mr Smith's channel. That said, I still watch yours too. Happy to see this games plays so well, as I bought it just as we went into lockdown, so it's never been played. So pleased to see it's a good 'un. I'll be bad at it though - planning ahead, bit of memory work - aarrggghh. But, while I'm being rubbish, I'll still enjoy. (noticed others mention the mispronunciation of our ridiculous place names you tripped on but hey ho, it was still clear and obvious) Thank you. More please.

what an exciting 1 on 1 game! nail biter! I see now how critics love it so much. nice play through! now I'm so curious about those added second element advanced elements.
Yes, those add some additional spice to the game play as well, as you're never quite sure what the other player has.

in order to remember what the other player has played, just turn the cards in your hand upside down
Lightning quick playthrough. I've only played it at 4, but it seems to really speed along at 2.

What happens when both player played 2 card before power struggle #1.
They both have 1 card before
#7 and #8.

Correct, you would resolve them one after the other.
Can you play 4 players all-against-all instead of team mode?
The rules indicate that when playing with 4, you play in teams of 2.

Hi guys, could you tell me how to interpret the rule on page 6 which says: "Your actions do not have to affect the current contested region"?
You can play a card, and move cubes in regions that do not include the currently contested region. You'll find this explained in detail in the tutorial video here: ua-cam.com/video/V2fJQsYCl7Q/v-deo.html
@@WatchItPlayed If we are referring to the 6.40 minute of the video you posted to me (and which I had already seen), well, then I must deduce that the regulation is poorly written at that point. Instead of "Your actions must not affect the current contested region", it should have said "Your actions cannot affect regions already assigned (with a disk on it)". Otherwise I could interpret as "Your actions must not affect the current contested region (where the next Power Struggle will take place)"
@@giuseppepagano871 I'm not sure if I'm exactly following what you are saying (this is the challenge of trying to discuss over text, I suppose :) ).
Here is the full rules of the section I think you were intialy asking about, as found on Page 6:
"To take an action, you must play a card from your hand and resolve its effect. The effect of each action card is shown on the next few pages. Your actions do not have to affect the current contested region."
This is just saying that when you play a card, the cubes it affects do not have to specifically be in the currently contested region. It could affect other regions instead. However, there are limitations, as the next paragraph says:
"When resolving an action, you can never place or move followers into controlled regions: regions with a control disc or an instability disc. Once a region’s power struggle has been resolved, its allegiance is set for the game."
So although the pieces you affect don't have to be in the contested region, they CANNOT come from or go to a region that already has a control or instability disc.

Interestingly, no one controls the colors. You'll find this explained in the tutorial video, if you want to learn how to play the game: ua-cam.com/video/V2fJQsYCl7Q/v-deo.html - once you know how to play, these videos will show you what it's like to play them.
