The reason that we punish those that break the law is to discourage others from doing the same. This criminal needs to be punished to the full extent of the law so that others would think twice before they try to do the same. Our democracy can only endure by having good people doing the right thing, and in this case the right thing to do is to punish the perpetrators.

Knowing that a huge part of America is so weak and insecure that it sees strength in a guy like Trump is still shocking to me. Seriously, this is my first time in the history of an election process that I have ever heard of a Presidential candidate calling the poll workers to find him over 11,000 votes that he accused of missing! I mean who does that! This is very horrible, shameful, and disgusting!! The Republicans have fallen over the cliff and committed political suicide!

He also told her that she had the “most important job in the country right now.”” WaPo said in its massive correction.

Grand jury proceedings are supposed to be completely secret. It's outrageous that any portion of the Grand Jury's report is being released. Especially the section that effectively accuses individuals of lying under oath. It is biased, one-sided, provides those accused with no means to understand the evidence on which the allegations are being made, provides no context, and provides no equivalent forum in which to respond. It will create a media feeding frenzy. It will leave those accused with no means of getting their reputations back. The judge who is doing this should be disbarred. If not worse.

You can thank Trump. He called an election official in Wisconsin or Michigan and then denied the call when it became public. Learning from that denial, Georgia officials at first refused the calls . . . then agreed but 1) had lawyers on the line and 2) recorded the calls.

It's the other part of the same recording where Trump responded after Raffensperger stated that changing votes would be illegal, "There's nothing wrong with saying you made a mistake and had to recalculate." THAT statement is direct interference.

Another myth : that a sitting president cannot be arrested or charged due to "impermissibly impeding the duties of the president". Arrest would curtail ability to perform presidential duties but , according to the Constitution, the vice-president can and must assume those duties.
I agree. Other countries have no such thing as presidential immunity and have survived judicial procedings involving their chief executives quite handily.

I'm 100% certain this was the best video I've watched for a long time. I think it could be memorable. All my fellow citizens I witnessed expressing their opinions after President Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon weren't happy about it, including people who normally didn't pay much attention to politics, then Nixon gets busted meddling in an election, and this made them very irritated, especially when Ford pardoned Nixon almost immediately. It just looked ridiculously bad to everyone.
