Allocation and de-allocation For e.g. you have a printing job, that means you want to print some document. You need a printer for it. Printer is the resource you require for the job. To execute the job, printer resource is allocated that means provided. When resource is allocated you can perform the printing job. Similarly when you finish your job, printer is no longer required. So it is deallocated that menas it is set free, another job which needs it can use it now.
1) Same jobs in the batch are higher executed speed. 2) A process is complete its execution, next job from job spool get executed without any user interaction. 3) CPU utilization gets improved. 4) To speed up the processing speed, the batch process can partition into the number of processes.
Because of speed mismatch between CPU and IO. Usually IO devices are way too slower than CPU. Therefore, once the computation is finished by CPU they literally wait (remain idle) until next input is provided.

I was taught that loading and unloading (allocating and unallocating) of batches (processes) is done by the OS and the OS is managed by the CPU. So if the CPU does this work, how can it remain idle? CPU can't manage OS. If CPU has at all managing capacity then why someone would need OS at all. The management can be done only by OS only.
