Thank you for doing these. I look for these podcasts for any kind of hope and encouragement I can get. I've been trying to get my unfaithful husband to see that his defensiveness is hurting us for 25 years. He still doesn't see it and I've done this entire healing journey alone while dragging him along. I'm exhausted. I love him so much but I'm so tired. I think the analogy of giving the betrayed the weight didn't express the realization that the unfaithful had been busy building up to that weight for years and had time grow into holding up that weight. The betrayed gets it handed to her all at once. I don't think anyone who hasn't been the betrayed actually understand the difference. And the amount of trauma it does to a body. You can't just go lift 300 lbs. Thank you for helping all involved, both the betrayed and unfaithful.

I pray for your heart and for your husband’s heart to heal open. You are correct. You can’t drag him along. He will resist and feel controlled and it becomes a parent/ child co- dependent relationship.
You work diligently on your heart and relationship with Jesus and be a great example. And let him know you are done trying to control or fix him and you pray he chooses the marriage and chooses you.
I hope that is helpful. God bless you.

Thank you, I appreciate you for taking the time to respond back to me. I give God all the praise in the midst of it all. I know that he will turn it around just like he did for our baby River. About five months ago, our baby boy was hospitalized with meningitis and rhino flu, during that season all i could do, was pray, it was out of my hands. I couldn’t do anything else, but to put God first, he was my strength throughout the whole stay, even now. I am to walk by faith and not by sight, I have my moments, but i dont stay there for long, I am reminded of the miracles he’s done for baby River. To anyone whom is reading I, know God is turning it around. Believe that God has a plan and purpose for everything, the battle has been won. I can wait to share more miracles to come. 🙏🏽

You are exactly right! Forgiveness is not trust. Forgiveness is freely given. Trust has to be earned.

So, what were your triggers? What would you do when you were triggered? How did you deal with your triggers?
What were you hurt about? What triggered these hurts?
These talks just skirt around the issues of infidelity but don't deal with specifics and just go into generalities and become unrelateable at a deeper core level.
Looking at the hurt is the healing. Hearing the hurt helps us who are listening to heal, too.

Hey there and thank you for your comment. This is just 1 of many videos we have about betrayal and the specifics of our story. This particular video is to talk about "why someone would cheat" and wasn't intended to go into the pain we went through. I encourage you to go binge watch our channel a bit to get more of the story and relate to your own pain. We talk A LOT about the pain we went through, triggers, and how we worked through it all. (And very transparent about it!)
We are currently telling our whole story on our weekly podcast here: ua-cam.com/play/PL_qjPvk2kzzk5I-CjIJZsXi0UJCZHkRcF.html
I encourage you to start at Eps 1 and watch through the 20 episodes we have so far on our story. This will help you gain a the clarity you are searching for and also get the healing you are searching for also. May God bless you in your healing journey and bring you the answers you need to heal. ~Adelle

Quick question. Do you recommend the Hope Restored intensive to people? I have been looking at all different intensives and I had it narrowed down to 3 and Hope Restored is one of them.

    • @TheNobleMarriage
      @TheNobleMarriage  23 дні тому

Thank you for asking! Hope Restored is the first intensive we went to that kickstarted our healing. We had a great experience and we went in with the mindset of getting ALL that we could from it.
What I would say is that with any intensive, if you look at it as a “fix all” solution you will be disappointed. If you look at it as the beginning of your healing journey to get you on the right track, then this is when we see the most success from intensives.
I would recommend looking at what is most important to you. Hope restored and many others consist of multiple couples getting counseling at the same time. Is this what you are looking for or do you need more individual support?
Most couples that have been through betrayal need much more support than group intensives have to offer, so this is something to consider as well.
I would encourage you to take a look at the intensives we offer. We are 1-on-1 with couples and you would receive individual healing, the husband with Travis and the wife with me) leading up to the intensive with ongoing coaching support. Our goal is different than most intensives. We are after lasting healing of the root that got you where you are so that your marriage is transformed.
Hope Restored is great at helping couples identify the issues and then it’s up to you to continue your own healing.
So again, I can’t tell you one or another is better, but hopefully with what I’ve shared you can see with your own story, what kind of support are you seeking and hopefully that will help answer your question.
Please visit our website to learn more about the intensives and read testimonials from the couples we’ve worked with.
