Thanks! You helped me go from thinking I heard this bird outside my window. to going looking for it (while on a "work"-from-home-day), to realizing maybe the black-throated blue is what I heard, but now I just don't know! When I followed the song, I went from being sure the call was a Cerulean as in this audio, to thinking maybe some juvenile male cardinal getting fed by his dad was making contact calls that I had heard. Then I saw from a back-quarter view what looked like a solid color bird with a blue head and upper body and another solid darker color on the side. It seemed juvenile or in molt, as the feathers had a slightly non-smooth appearance. A similar-sized bird alighted alongside it. That bird had a white-striped head or face (can't recall where the stripes were) and I think the chest was white. They both sat for a bit then flew away together. I went online and it seems the first bird I saw a black-throated blue warbler, but its partner had white striping on the head area. So, it seems that cannot be a black-throated blue warble. SMH - I just don't know what I heard and saw!
I need help, what’s the name of the bird that’s in the very beginning of this video in the background ? I’ve been looking for this bird for a long time now, someone please help me
I saw a cerulean warbler this spring. They migrate through my area.
This is gorgeous footage! Wonderfully crisp. Great camera work. Fantastic little species.
