Hitchens was almost always drunk out of his skull, including during this interview, and yet he could still outthink any of us. He was an extraordinary mind.
he did not say supernaturally impregnated, he said parthenogenesis is not completely unthinkable....two completely different things....his point is since parthenogenesis does happen in other species you can't completely rule it out in humans....I just found your channel and based on the first 2 minutes probably wont watch much more
As DD-gi6kx said, as i also reacted to how you interpreted what he said regarding parthenogenesis. It sadly indicates that its not worth listening to anymore as you can not listen to those whos thoughts you are reacting to and missing the point of what is said completely
Perhaps this person does not know the definition of the word. Empty sack---still nothing to show for your beliefs. There is active listening and then there is selective listening. This creator needs to do more of the former than the latter. Tough to put the words thinking and theology together and keep a straight face. Dogma despite the facts. I will never understand why a person does not just say, "I have faith in what I believe." Cannot have a serious discussion with someone who says they can prove religion, whichever manifestation of divine favor they may conjure.
@christofferlindberg6423 Your interpretation is clouded, as I agreed with Hitchens. I have been surprised on the channel that I originally thought that Christians would take more exception to the things I say, which are non-dogmatic and contemplative. Those who claim the name of atheist have been far more vocal and prejudicial, hearing things that aren't said and intolerant of anything short of complete agreement. Even the word "theology" has been triggering, which is ironic given that Hitchens and Dawkins and others repeatedly discuss theological topics. C'est le vie!
To be fair, theology is the study of god and religious beliefs. Atheists need to think about theology so they can argue things related to religion. Hitchens has done his fair share of studying and thinking theology.
What I could never quite get, even as a kid is that God with trillions of planets spent 3 days in a cave here on earth. Must have been awfully bored. And does he celebrate his birthdays on every planet like he does here on Christmas ? You wonder how he has time to do anything else with all the Celebrations.

He was great 👍
Talking to these thiest would make anyone drink listening to the arrogance and condescending behavior.

I really miss Hitch. Good thing he left so much behind before he died.
Amen

Thinking theology is a Oxymoron
