Hey Tucker! You got a mention in the biggest paragliding magazine in Germany! They are called "Thermik Magazin" and you were the only American mentioned! Well done dude!
Outstanding video as always, Tucker! I flew over this open-pit mine when I lived in AZ, and was doing flight lessons - like 12 years ago...anyways, that mine is HUGE...the camera doesn't do it justice. Anyways, you've inspired me to get into paramotoring, just saving and hope to be taking lessons this fall - but possibly next spring. Thank you for these videos, be safe! - Jimmy
Only three more days left to order the limited edition merch! Huge shout out to everyone that has already placed an order. Stay tuned for the aircraft boneyard flight, it was an epic one! tuckergott.com/collections/all
Really really enjoying your videos and adventures guys. Thanks Tucker for the uploads. Hitting refresh on UA-cam daily looking forward to the next instalment. I’ve got one more Paragliding practical to do and I’ll have my Aussie PG2 accreditation. You guys are an inspiration.
Oh, btw Tucker it’s 2am here in Oz. I just happened to be up trolling UA-cam. Disappointed to see Jacklyn was unable to fly again. Need to call in somewhere and get that motor sorted.
Tucker Gott I just watched all of this vid and my hands have been sweating the whole time , great video man, you always make fantastic content , 🔥🙌🏻 much love man . These are so interesting to watch , keep it up bro
I hope you do another run of the Freeride sticker in the future, I would really like couple. Unfortunately as much as I want to I won't be able to this time.
I recently found your videos and have been binge watching them with my kids like they are Game of Thrones or something. my 4 yeast old said "I think we'd love him if he cane to visit us" it was awesome.
Dude, watching your channel over the past year or so, it has completely stoked this passion within me to get into paramotoring. While, I am not young (38) I still think that I have plenty of time to get into this. I have always wanted to fly, and never was able to do so, due to cost, timing, or whatever other excuse I could find. This is something that I am determined to make happen. Your van-life trip is a dream of mine that I would love to realize some day. Keep up the videos man, it's inspiring. Not sure if you'll even read this, but I like feeling that you will. Send it, bro.
@@sandiago7564 Hahaha, thanks for asking. Honestly, it has taken a few turns, as many journeys do. I was never able to pull the trigger (so to speak) with the paramotoring experience. My wife is just too worried about the potential risks involved with having younger kids at home. And I understand. It will stay on the bucket list for now. However, we have gotten into RVing and it has completely changed my life. We spend as much time as possible during the summers travelling and seeing new places. It has opened up a whole new world for my family and I. So I would say the journey has been incredible so far.
Great video as always, and, as always, I can't wait for the next one! It's a shame Jaclyn isn't getting to fly along! I'll be kiting this weekend, can't wait to get in the air!
Honestly when he flew directly over the mine and pointed the camera directly down at it. It looked like a cinimon roll to me. I must be hungry or something. It was really beautiful though
great video btw. I'm learning to fly ultralights presently and I owe I a lot to this channel. You really made it all sound so doable.Oh to be young again!Be safe you two. What adventures!
Look for air leaks in the fuel hose on that paramotor! Pin holes or cracks can cause it to choke at high revs - when it tries to suck the fuel faster it starts sucking air as well, and can be hard to see. You definitely don't want to be flying on that motor until it is fixed. Primer bulbs are a main culprit, if it has one.
I have seen this a lot in 2 stroke engines where the spark arrestor becomes plugged up if this engine has one or the muffler can also plug. This will cause the engine to have limited power because it can not exhaust properly.
I used to ride my motorcycle in the subdivision across from where you landed. The one that has roads but no houses, it was supposed to be a sub but the company went under during the recession. It was like my own little private track that I could ride on without being on occupied streets. I used to see a lot of paramotors in that area where you were.
I fly miniquads but watching these videos and playlists really makes me want to try this out. I travel alot, would be awesome hobby add on to what I already do
Looking forward to you alls adventures. Keep making good decisions with explanations. Fairly confined living. Happy to see you both in good spirits. Respect, compassion and the ability to compromise is in play. ☺️x☺️
Need to get Jackie's motor going there old man. Lugging that poor kid all over the country than keeping her grounded while your off flying high and having fun ain't fair. LOL Keep the camera rolling and fly safely. *Dance the Skies*
It isn't fair, but we have done everything we can possibly do with what we have. I've pulled the starter and magneto to clean the contacts, regapped it, tried different plugs, and we've tweaked every possible needle setting. After this episode, I tried to tune it further but now we don't have spark again. I believe we need some new parts but we don't have a good way to receive mail. We are headed to Florida soon where we will definitely have the resources available to fix any problem.
I know nothing about paramotors but on other small engines if it runs at low and mid throttle and pukes at full throttle, a fuel filter is often the culprit. They cant quite suck enough fuel thru for WOT. Just a thought. Love your channel!
Great videos Tucker and Jaclyn! I hope to someday soon be able to purchase the setup and get flying! I have seen paragliders and paramotors flying around the foothills of the Rockies west of Denver Colorado and it gets me aching to fly. There are 2 setups for sale on the Denver craigslist but I don't know a bad one from a good one but I am definitely inspired by your videos, narration, scenery, and cameras, especially the chase cam. Thank you!! :) Keep up the great work too!!
Hey, love the videos. Sounds to me that you could have a spark arresting screen plugged. With mixed gas you can get carbon build up, especially if the plug was fouled. Remove and clean with a wire brush and solvent. Good luck, Larry
You ought to get a portable windsock you can erect on an extendable pole attached you your trailer/van. Particularly useful when returning to check if the wind has shifted direction :-)
With outboard motors and small scooter engines, grass trimmer engines, I have noticed that worn, dirty or improperly adjusted spark plugs can give you an engine sag on accelleration
Check the low screw on carb? I had to adjust my Scout, it was doing the same thing. 1/2 to full throttle or fast snaps was too much fuel causing my motor to bog down. Maybe time for a carb overhaul.
Make sure you have fresh gas in Jaclyn's tank. I had a two stroke outboard motor that had the same problem, bogging down at full throttle. I read some place that the gas degrades over time. I put some fresh gas in the tank and problem solved.
Wow, totally awesome. My heart rate goes up just watching the views! I wonder if you could make videos without the wide angle so we can get a more real visual experience. Thanks and please take care.
Tucker, Jaclyn and you should perform some kind of a Murphy-repellant ritual for the Blackhawk. Epic footage man, must have been a great flight. Take care mate!
That is Sacaton Copper mine owned by ASARCO Inc. It is Northwest of Casa Grande, Arizona. It was worked from 1972 until 1984. The ore has been depleted and the pit is no longer being worked.
I didn't hear anything about where this is? It looks like the closed Arcosanti mine that is just NW of Casa Grande Az. I used to live there in housing that was originally built for the miners. The foundations of all the houses in the neighborhood had shifted and cracked. At the time they were shooting concrete under the houses and patching them and made them into FHA HUD housing. The mine was practically my front yard.
Excellent video Tucker! Do you plan to be in the Phoenix valley area again in the near future? My wif and I have been inspired by your paramotor videos to take flying lessons and purchase paramotors. Excellent job! David...

With mixed gas you can get carbon build up, especially if the plug was fouled. Remove and clean with a wire brush and solvent. Then you get proper exhaust with no restriction.
the motor bogs or sags at three quarters? sounds like carberetta issues. those carbs have diaphram pumps and rubber check valves i suspect. They are known to develope pin holes in the diaphram with age. order another carb, replace it just to be on the safe side
Message to Jaclyn from an old man: don't feel bad about the flying thing. You are part of something special here, enjoy it, live it, remember it. You may have children to inspire with it. ✌

3 miles SW of the Casa Grande airport.
thanks man!

Hi Jimmy, fancy seeing you here haha. He inspired me too. I just booked my training! Hope you got in the air! peace

You should get a small wind sock to mount on the van. Banggood has them for RC'ers.
*Almost Trips to his death down the cliff*
"oh shit I almost fell"
I love Tucker's "Ya-ha-hoo!" every time he gets airborne.
I dunno, but Jaclyn and Tucker at that last little bit was the cutest thing I've ever seen! Love the videos guys! I'll be tuned in!

Perfect guys! This edit has it all and in just the right measure! Loved the happy ending!
Love to watch you two having a blast! Kinda like modern day hippies! Just awesome Tucker! I’d like to see funny outtakes!
An awesome adventure. Thanks for taking us alone. Be safe and happy flying.

Good call! I think there is an air leak in the fuel system that was likely causing the high rev problem.
That was my thought. I know with 4 stroke engines a clogged jet can cause a similar condition.
I have seen this a lot in 2 stroke engines where the spark arrestor becomes plugged up if this engine has one or the muffler can also plug. This will cause the engine to have limited power because it can not exhaust properly.
You might also want to tune the carb because of the arid climate. It might be running lean.
Great content Tucker and Jacklyn. I actually find myself looking forward to each video of your #vanlife adventure. #jealous

That's what I thought. But with Tucker's comment above it's just not worth it. Sucks, but good call IMHO.
She could fly the scout solo though
I know nothing about paramotors but on other small engines if it runs at low and mid throttle and pukes at full throttle, a fuel filter is often the culprit. They cant quite suck enough fuel thru for WOT. Just a thought. Love your channel!

what an awesome vid !!! thank you Tucker...keep'm coming...wooohooo....
Is that the Casa Grande copper mine ?
You should look up the lava tubes near Zuni Pueblo for the trip home! Lots of huge holes with structures in them!

Gnarly waves bro
Hey Tucker! I've been watching your videos for awhile now and crazy enough, I live in Casa Grande!

Tucker and Jaclyn, loving the van series! Go follow Tuck on Instagram people, the transmedia is phenomenal :)
Sorry I'm late. Thanks for sharing this. never knew the depths a coper mine would go to get the ores. :)

Tucker Gott some sick paramotors.
I'm surprised you don't have a windsock mounted to the van or trailer yet. That would be super cool.
Awesome watching this on a big screen! Great job!
you are living the dream brother!

Honestly you need more subs
You should drive by the copper mine n Utah. It's the biggest pit mine in the world. It's over a mile deep
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻If you dig pervin’ on huge copper mines, you need to check out the kennecot mine in Utah. It’s due west of the point of the mountain. You damn near flew over it when you did Icarus. Hard to do with the Class B airspace that's right there...
Matt Dahle check your sectional broham. It’s on the edge, but not class B. Livin’ on theee edge🤹🏼♂️
Yeh, I suppose it is... On a paramotor, yeah, you might be able to get away with it haha.
Matt Dahle oh fer sure. There’s plenty of room to bust over the Oquirrh mnts w/o offending the kids in the tower. Might be kinda hot doggy in something that doors on it, but that’s just transportation...... right? Y’aint flyin unless the wind is in your teeth😬
I live in that town its Casa Grande you should fly over the domes just south of the town
that copper mine looks like a Funnel web spider trap. watch out for giant Funnel web spiders grabbing you and eating you!
I missed seeing views from your chase cam...

You're a trip, man. Binge watching to catch up on your adventures! :-)
Tucker, you've got to 'splain what happened to the carbon/smoke alarm that at one point was there, then had the battery removed, and now it's gone entirely.
Good eye! The diesel exhaust sets off the smoke part every time we drive. There obviously isn't an exhaust leak or hazard, we have been driving it for thousands of miles. I think the smoke detector part is just hyper sensitive, it's not meant for vehicles. When we use the propane heater, we bring it out and plug it in with no issues. It was mainly installed for overnight fire/CO risk anyway.
Can't wait to see that video tomorrow!
Hey next week I'm hiking flat iron. I think I might have seen you flying in my area
Just found your channel and I'm hooked I already subscribed and now I'm looking for a school close by to start my training. Thank you! As for this vid, I'm pretty sure you flew over my house or at least real close to it. Not so sure that I would leave my girl on the ground by her self in that area. Not trying to scare you I'm just saying, I live there and it's not the best area. Just another reason to get her in the air with you. Be careful. Other than that I love your videos. Keep up the good work.
Sick dude!
it would be good if you had an heat vision cam it might show you air pockets or somthing a cam looking out in front of you and you can have a pull down screen inserted from your jacket just an idea peace
Hi tucker my ac 200 was doing the same thing I Think it’s an airlock the last time I tried it i held it on full throttle a while it seems to be ok
On my last flight i was getting i my seat I almost 💩👍
You should have a mountable wind sock on the van.
I knew by the way she was grilling that chicken at the end he wouldn't show it on camera, his face confirmed he wasn't having dinner that night 😂
the van and trailer would look good with pics of tucker and para-motor on sides plus get extra viewers on patreon and youtube
okay I've read further down....what carb adjustment did you do? Just simple air screw tweaking?
Can you tell us where the mine is? I wonder if it was something other than copper being mined.
Nice to see a loving couple @ 1:19 :-)
no dought, love the vids brother, miss the corn and haybails though.
check out Allan watts & CMA chillstep mix an hour with Allan watts pt.1
for some good vibes in the van
best wishes J&T, be safe :-)
Love me some Allen Watts! I miss the hay bails too, should be perfect spring weather by the time we get home.
I not superstitious, just a little stitious. - Michael Scott.
Which brands paramotor you flu bro? Pls give me details as I m new to it.
Hey Tucker, What do you search in soundcloud to get these tunes from :) Love the old timey remixes :P
Wish I'd l known you were in the valley. I'd love to meet you!
Went right to google earth and found it! I’m an AZ native and I’ve never been there.
