Kagi is the best Google alternative I've ever used

I didn't even hit on things like the search results actually being good, but none of the rest of this would matter if they weren't. I found them to be better than Bing and DuckDuckGo, and at least as good as what I'm used to getting from Google.

You get satisfied easily. Unless you look for something better. Google is just way better for a normal search. A sports tournament, it displays the live time score with everything related to it, commentatory, prediction, Stories of highlights and even a game (currently for a T20 wc)but kagi will show you websites of fifa, ESPNcricinfo, Yahoo sports etc. you have to open them and then get anything related to them. It's faster on Google

No . I think you are referring to AI generative search. You can turn it off in the labs experiment. it is still the best search engine out there for the common man. For example:-a sports event, bing, yahoo or duckduckgo will show some articles from websites like fifa, ESPNcricinfo or such but Google will display the live-time score and everything related to it. Plus some nifty doodles and games(currently for the T20 wc)

Been testing it this week and it feels great so far! I set it up and then got caught up at work and kinda forgot about it even when doing searches, which is a (very) good sign. Not sure I'll subscribe as the pricing gets a bit rough when converting to my local currency, but I definitely like what they're doing!

I know you covered how you've been using AI tools to generate captions for your videos - but in some places, I think that auto-generated caption is too long, on a phone it covers essentially half the screen - see the beginning of the video 😅 I think UA-cam maybe does a better job at breaking-up the captions enough so they look fine on a phone screen 😊✌️

Tried a few tests and the results were incorrect or worse than Google. I'm sorry but if I'm paying for a free product it needs to be better than the free version. I like their mission but I just don't think their product is at the right level yet. I'll look again in a year

I don't know. I don't buy Kagi's argument that their search engine is somehow better and more user oriented just because we pay for the search. There tons of greedy, unethical, terrible companies out there who also do the subscription model and are still awful (like Netflix, EA live service games, etc.)
How is Kagi any different? And if paid search engines succeed, all it will do that it will set the baseline from free to paid.

From personal experience the search results are, in fact, better than all others I've used. The most relevant stuff is always at the top, there aren't irrelevant ads, and it just seems to understand what I want as answers better than even Google

i can totally agree with that the results are better than in google or brave search. Just keep in mind that the quick answer ai tool can make mistakes, but its not that often compared to googles ai.
