Also you mentioned no eye creams for the moment, I find that my skin care products make my eyes water. Any advice?

Your regular moisturizer is fine as an eye cream, just use a tiny bit. However, if it’s the CT moisturizer that has the spf, I’d probably keep that away from the eye because that sunscreen is probably irritating your eyes. If that’s not the issue I’d check the ingredient lists of all the products and if any have fragrance, limonene or linalool, that could be the culprit. That’s one of the biggest challenges with sensitivities, you have to eliminate everything and slowly add things back one at a time to find the irritant. If you want to add a gentle eye treatment, from Dieux Skin, the Auracle Reviving Eye Gel is fantastic and lasts for months because you use the tiniest amount.

Will you try out the naturium vitamin c cleanser by any chance?

Hi Rubylise! As of right now I don’t think I’ll be trying it. My skin doesn’t normally love vitamin c and I’m currently trying to slowly introduce it again with a new product. If I can tolerate at some point I will try the cleanser. But like I tell you guys, slow is better than messing up your skin barrier and having to start over and repair. Thanks for watching 💖

Hi again Jennifer; a question about sunscreen: I use Charlotte Tilbury’s magic cream as a moisturizer and it says it’s SPF 15. Is that enough??
Thank you so much for this video! You have literally taught me how to properly wash my face😅. I bought the glycerin cleanser you recommended. I’m determined to use up the skin care products I have as quickly as possible so I can initiate this new routine asap. Optimistic about seeing results.
      Looking forward to part 2!!!
Ps. I started Botox for my deep forehead lines a few years ago. You have to do it every 6 months but the results are amazing. I think it’s much cheaper over here in Italy so if you ever come on holiday let me know and I’ll tell you where to go. 😃

@@scotch5 hi Carrie 👋🏻 unfortunately the amount of sunscreen in a moisturizer isn’t going to be enough for 2 reasons. First, the recommended amount of sunscreen for just the face is 1 tsp, and most of us don’t use that much moisturizer. And second, spf 15 is too low a protection factor, spf 30 is really the lowest we should use and that’s if we’re getting minimal sun interaction. SPF 50 with uva and uvb protection is whats going to be the best protection. And even at that, if you are spending extended amounts of time outside (sunny or cloudy) you’ll need to reapply every 2 hours. It’s a hassle, I know, but if you’re going to the trouble to work on your skin you don’t want the uva and uvb rays ruining your efforts. I’m so excited for your new skincare routine, keep me posted on how it’s going. And now I’m off to tell my husband I need to go to Italy for Botox 😃

Can you say which products are clean beauty/non toxic and cruelty free?

I don’t normally delineate “clean beauty” as that’s a marketing term and has no legal definition or standard, therefore any brand can claim “clean” by whatever standard they want to hold for themselves. Cruelty Free is a more stringently adhered to term which can come with certifications so I am comfortable discussing that. As for the products I mention in this video, the ones that I am aware of that are Cruelty Free for sure are Experiment Beauty, Naturium, Rhode, Dieux, Prequel and Krave. The others may or may not be as well, I am just not sure off the top of my head. Hope this helps 💖
