Category 5 Hurricane Milton a Gulf of Mexico Monster - Live Coverage

Hurricane Milton has pulled off an extraordinary intensification thoughout the course of today, and has reached Category 5 status with winds of at least 175 miles per hour. Further intensification is possible or even likely this evening and overnight, unless the storm is thwarted by an eyewall replacement cycle. The storm is also drawing very close to the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, and will batter the region with very powerful winds shortly. Central Florida is likely to fall victim once again as the storm pushes through on Wednesday evening, with a Category 4 landfall likely.
