Personally, I always found the idea of Castlevania Judgment interesting. It was a fun departure from the norm. The whole crossover concept work is a great way to celebrate the series as a whole, at least in my opinion.
Absolutely... it reminds me of Hyrule Warriors, in which we take multiple games and timelines, mash them together in a multiverse tale, while putting them in a wildly different game just to have fun

TBH Judgement isn't even a bad game. The concept is decent but the execution, mainly the character designs throws it off. Also F in the chat for Grant. He can't catch a break in this franchise, ever.
It's brutal how even in this game they call Trevor, Sypha and Alucard the Legendary Trio like Grant is an afterthought
Personally I like the designs because of how eccentric they look, as I would expect the lineage that has to regularly do a coffin check on dracula through the ages, you are bound to have awol fashion sense

A fighting game using Castlevania character doesn't sound all that bad, but having the controls be mainly motion controls like on the Wii was a definite mistep. Design wise, they should've just chosen to go a more anime route and not include the edgy leather S/M clothing for the characters.
Imagine if Arc System Works gave it the DBZ FighterZ treatment ... would be pretty awesome with the large roster of Castlevania characters alone

I thought the idea awesome but hated the use of the popular mangaka at the time for the looks of the game

@@OniBlackMage I kinda want to see what that looks like. They definitely would have made it a bit more lighthearted, but it's not like it would get in the way of a serious tone.
I think the concept of a Castlevania fighter was good. However, the game was burned by a visual design that did not look "castlevania". On top of turning some beloved characters into weird jokes.
