I love hearing more of Kate Mara's side of what she was going for with this character whose clearly despicable, but basically how I interpreted Claire "she's not a monster, but she's a very flawed delusional woman who clearly has a lot of issues." I do think she is aware of how she emotionally manipulates Eric, but at the same time convinces herself in some areas that they have some form of "forbidden love" that she has framed as if Eric started it.
If you watch Nick Robinson’s interview, that’s the reaction they were hoping to get from people to get people to them reexamine why they felt that way.
I felt the SAME way ikikeudobong!! I would've never imagined before seeing this series I would've conceived feeling that way!! They both sold me on it being true love!!
I don't know if there was one first immoral act, its a lot of little accumulations. The first épisode sets the mood, she's à little flirtatious at the diner, shares her food, pays for his, offers to drive him home, plays sexy music, says good night after see you tomorrow, tells him he can call her Claire, goes to à frat party with him, shares intimate things with him, gives him very emotional eyes when he takes à little straw out of her hair, the same eyes as when he goes to kiss her the first time, accepting his friend request on Instagram, saying she had so much fun during their Saturday outing...
The ending was wrong. If he truly loved her, he should have fought for her. I dislike he’s a victim, he was 17-18 years, young but not a kid. It would have been different if he was 10-12 years. But at 17-18, people had get married, even been in wars, he should have man up. It could have had a better ending.
Dude this is abuse ..... Take a second and reverse the genders. If it was a man teacher and the girl was 17 you would NEVER say something like that. I think you like Kate Mara a little bit to much LOL.
I am so jealous of Nick doing those scenes with Kate. She is so attractive to me! ❤️
She is for sure . A pretty interesting human
I just adore her. Great interview! 🤍

it's so hard to think that Eric was a survivor ....its just confusing at this point cause I was rooting for their love to work out .

But she didn't say what she thought the turning point was, ahrgh
I have zero tolerance for student teacher relationships. It makes me sick
