I started photography in 1960 and discovered that you always need the camera you don’t own and somehow I have 28 cameras
and still missing something :)
There is a mathematical equation for calculating the number of cameras you need. x = the number of cameras you need and n = the number of cameras you own. The equation looks like this: x = n + 1
I've learnt a lot from Marcus, through Photography Online, mostly misguided theories I've been incorrectly led to believe, over many years, to which Marcus has shown the reason why in both theory and practice. Much respect as a photographer and educator!
The camera is his passion, the photos are just the tools which pay for the passion.
Great interview and all great collection of cameras demo too😊👍
Yes... The #1 UA-cam film channel there is!!!
Very well interview. I am especially fixed by the Fuji gx617 part, since I just started to get into a 3D printed 617 camera with 150mm lens. It was very interesting what he did and achieved with his one.
@AnalogInside: Thanks for your work in general. Your show ist really really great!
that background is epic
Good interview with great guest. Nice.
As always a wonderful presentation video. Some enjoyable stories from Marcus McAdam. Would love a years supply of Fuji film !
It was great to see Marcus on this channel! Thank you for the interview and I am glad that you put out another video!!! Happy holidays!!
Excellent! Thank You.
Thanks for this.
This was a really interesting conversation and great choice of cameras to feature! I have in common with Marcus that I too purchased a Mamiya Six after watching the AI review. (Not to mention a Perkeo II, GF670, Olympus Pen, Kowa Six, Mamiya 6… no kidding.)
Wow!
Okay Bill, that's enough for 2023. And we will be confiscating your credit card(s) for 2024.
Muahahahahaha!
What a great video. Thank you very much.
RS. Canada
Thank you so much, Richard. Really appreciate it.
I just love it 😍
Great video! The camera I also have and used is the Mamiya RZ67 Pro. But I personally prefer more the Hasselblad 500 C/M. The Hasselblad is lighter and uses Zeiss V-lenses with focus ring (Mamiya RZ-based lenses don't since focusing is done with a bellow in camera) which allows them to be mounted also on other digital mirrorless cameras. I carried the RZ 67 Pro with two lenses hiking about 5 miles, and it was quite a demanding exercise!
Great innterview. Really interesting to watch
Thank you. Really appreciate the kind feedback.
Fantastic interview. Loved it!
Fantastic interview and a great watch !
Thank you. Really glad to hear you enjoyed the interview. :)
❤👍
Interesting video!
Lovely, a new video from my #1 film photography channel since 2016 here on YT. Would watch it later, when i do have the time. Thanks to Max, Greg & Jules, and all the others being involved. Hint: The X-300 is the best entry level 35mm SLR, it does have a very huge OVF, whereas one could eyeball into all corners, and it does have all the basic features, one does need to take pictures, IQ is being correlated to the matched 35mm film and lenses, never the body, via 35mm gear, as you guys do know. I have it for unsecure locations, black & silver, when i don't want to bring my X-700 or XD7. Access to the fine Minolta MD series of lenses, my silver X-300 is always mated with a 35/2.8 Celtic series, the matching MD III 35/2.8 is "glued" on my XD7, of course. The celtic lens series featured the same kind of (multicoated) Minolta lenses like the MD series, but into a cheaper (plastic) lens barrel, but matching their MD counterparts otherwise into spec. Think about Fujinon XF 35/F2 lens, which does have it's cheaper silbling into the XC 35/F2, same optics, but no aperture ring here, and plastic lens barrel. Celtic series featured also 3 iterations all the years, i have the last gen, which costed about 50 bucks for the 35/2.8, which was a good deal.
Thanks
Any details on the digital lightmeter that Marcus discussed for the Mamiya 6?
This one was a Keks KM02 but there are are few similar ones on the market.

Das freut mich sehr. Vielen Dank.
Damn. I’d love to see some pinhole 20x16 photos. Great chat.
Where is the Canon F1 video?
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I had to delete it due to a crucial factual error and will reupload it once I had a chance to properly correct it. Please excuse.
