In awe....he didn't do a good job at all. Why wasn't he weighing his pegs during the ride. The 690 is heavier than a 2 stroke, and you need to take advantage of that. This guy isn't. Sorry.
That went about as I though it would. The 690 likes going fast offroad a lot more than it does slow. Props to the owner for being brave enough to try, and to you guys for helping him push/drag 😅
You guys are all mental - that is some serious terrain! I live in Colorado, ride a 300 XC and also own a 701. The 701 is great for all surface exploring and fun within it's comfort zone, but I know just how lard ass heavy it is when the going gets truly tight, steep and gnarly. The problem with the 690 platform bikes is they are well suspended and good enough handling that they can suck you into situations that are inadvisable when astride a 350 pound 693cc motorcycle. Been there, done that on some of Colorado's finer 4x4 trails. As a result I no longer underestimate what a good 4x4 is capable of. On the other hand, my Yosh can equipped Rottweiler Performance tuned 701 has a truly stupid amount of power, and that is always fun when it has room to run, on road and off. My 701 is a freakin' weapon on the back roads, paved or dirt. 90 miles an hour down a rural route dirt road with no witnesses other than cattle? Seems like a reasonable proposition to me when riding my 701 😆
So true I do 90 down dirt roads on my 690 all the time. Also have road some Colorado trails that I shouldn't have. Got stuck in a valley with some snow on the hill out got tired of picking that pig up.
The inclination and bumps on 5:00 section were insane. When u went down that I shatforu!! The stuff at 11:00 says u all are basically mental and dude with the 690 is my hero 😂!! U mad ozzies...
I have been taking my 21 690 into most of the single track i ride my 300 in. I was super surprised, even with the stock gearing. I may splurge on a Rekluse to make it even more fun. Once the terrain gets real steep its too heavy so one must plan accordingly.
As a 690 owner... props to that guy taking his tank enduro. The 690 enduro/smc is a fantastic offroad bike for the trails.. but it quickly gets big n heavy for the enduro / forrest. The 690 enduro should be called rally or dakar 😂 cuz it loves those terrain.. but yea, as we see. It dosent love this kind of work. But the owner does a good job pushing on!! Great riding! Love from Norway!🎉
Change the sprockets and use a Recluse Clutch. Then file down the turning "stops" so I can turn sharper. Then you can do these trails much easier... that's what I did to mine.
U know the "Erzbergrodeo".? There was a dude, who came with his 701, drove the hole race and after ist, he drove home. Its possible. You just have to want it.
No tuvo problema con la temperatura del motor? Mi 690 cuando me quedo un poco enganchado se calienta y se enciende la luz roja de temperatura del refrigerante. Buen video. Un saludo.
A 500 and a 690 are completely different bikes. The 500 is still the enduro frame. Same dimensions as a 250, 300, 350… etc. just a bigger displacement engine. It doesn’t feel heavier than a 350 to me. A 690 is a completely different trellis frame. Probably has more in common with one of the KTM adventure bikes than the enduros. Weighs almost 100lbs more than the enduros as well.
I think he did a fantastic job, anyone who knows some of the areas we went to knows what sort of gradient the hills are, as always the camera flattens things out.
As a 690 owner who likes single track, I'm just in awe of this fellas skill. Very technical terrain. He handled it like a boss. Very impressive!
I'll let him know 👍

@rodmcvicar7664 not that heavy it is as light as a 250 Honda or maybe 450. 690 is 320pounds 350 340 with gasoline and luggage.
I loved the “ we won’t make him do it. So he won’t hurt himself.” Then you flop it...that’s me all the time.
True 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Exactly. 1st gear is good for 40mph and that's just the wrong gearing for what they were doing.

Good to see you still at it mate. That jump with the 690 off that step up through death valley was insane lol. Hes a good man.
That was mental wasn't it, anyone who knows that spot knows how ballzie that jump was!

@TrygveJohannSørensen he's a machine, I rode with him yesterday, and there were lots of drama's, the video will be out soon.
Sweet drop off, big balls move😃👍

12:05~‼️👍🔥🔥🔥✨
Holy shit. That was mad. I hope I get in my 690 again as soon as it gets a bit cooler here.
The old "puddings"doing well !considering buying one of these.
@@nickg2431 don't do it! It's an old man's touring bike 🤣
@@UTPP Thanks for saving me 450 exc it is then😀
@nickg2431 much better! Don't over look a 350 either, i just bought one and it's a weapon!!!
@@UTPP Yes also considering that will be doing quite a few road miles in Greece to connect trails though so still a little unsure❓
Awesome location. Love that type of terrain. Unfortunately everyone else I ride with likes fire-trails.
Come riding with us then!
Awesome video dad! Loved it
Love you mate
Great video! That was well beyond my skills!
Nice bike but you need to mount a winch on it for the woods 🤙
Agreed 👍
Crazy good content
Cheers mate
Man, 170~kg on a single track... what a man, he must have hard balls there...
Amazing ride. How tall is the rider on the 690?
Thank for watching. Glenn is about 5"9. Tomorrow will be another ride featuring him, make sure you check it out, it's a cracker.
U know the "Erzbergrodeo".? There was a dude, who came with his 701, drove the hole race and after ist, he drove home. Its possible. You just have to want it.
Best thing I did to my 701 enduro was Michelin tracker tyres
Some of that nasty terrain is better suited for Trials bikes and goats!

Not really, temp was good.
If that 6 90 was mine, I would never have put dust on it.
You’re a pavement princess 👑
No protection 🤔🤔🤔
People who are 6’2 and up can man handle 500 or 690 on trails. Smaller man are asking for trouble

Fellas that was painful to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it 😃
The ktm rider needs to weight his pegs. Ypure not going to get any traction with no weigh on your back tire.
Look up coffeyboy he will show u how to actually drive a 690 enduro watch him he's better then all these guys even on lighter bike's 😅😊
