Everyone here is calling the T-Rex better, just because it is more famous. These people haven't read anything about other dangerous large carnivores, such as the Acrocanthosaurus or Carchardodontosaurus.
Well, in all honesty the Tyrannosaurus Rex was most likely the best hunter with it's cone shaped bone crushing teeth and a max bite of 12,800 psi... now the carcharodontosaurus on the other hand has shark like teeth and it's name "sharp toothed lizard." Now I don't know for sure to estimated bite force of a carcharodontosaurus, but I can only assume it's relatively weak compared to other large carnivores as it's jaw wasn't as thick as others and I high biting force would cause its jaw and teeth to break under high pressure. Don't get me wrong though, I am no T Rex fanboy and I personally love the carcharodontosaurus...

Also, the segments generally seem to focus exclusively on hunting and territorial disputes, when it's almost certain that dinosaurs did much more than that. Planet Dinosaur definitely has potential, though, and if a future reboot makes the changes I suggest here, that would be what shifts it from simply having potential to being truly great.

Luigi Gaskell Ornitholestes1 Not that I'm being an obvious Trollinator BUT BUT then again in any case - it is a big if not enormous Theropod Brute dinosaur eh? Given the big ones for the matter are more than 10 meters long and with a mass of just under the 10 tonne range - and still - despite the debates of whether a Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus are bigger than a Rexy - in any case both were more than 10 meters long and with a size and mass still comparable to a Rexy in any case and certainly bigger than a number of other Theropod Brutes eh? And certainly big brutes you wouldn't want to piss off or get in the way of even though they may not have had the brute bite force of a Rexy ... steak-knifes are still pretty painful ... Say Ornitholestes1 - not that I'm being a Trollinator again BUT BUT have you been able to read up any information about the bite forces of a Giganotosaurus or Carcharodontosaurus for the matter? And I know its been a few months since I've spoken to you but how's things? Gotten into Paleontology studies yet? :) And what do you reckon of the reconstruction of the Spinosaurus?
HeirofGojira91 Why do you always begin your sentences with "Not that I'm being a trollinator or anything BUT BUT BUT..."? That's like the severalth time I've heard you say that since I last spoke to you a few weeks ago.
Clearly, the Dal Sasso specimen of Spinosaurus had a skull in excess of 1,5m, more likely 1,7-1,8m. The holotype, which was subadult, had vertebrae longer than sue, and nearly twice as long as Baryonyx. Even based on taxa like Suchomimus, that have far smaller spinous processes and were likely far less bulky, Spinosaurus would have far exceeded 10t.
By far the most correct statement of all. People in England recently used a scanning approach to T-Rex skeletons and found they were more muscled than people thought. Which put Sue at 9 tons. Giga and a Carcharo were taller and longer and that was really the only advantage they had.
@vaggos7kats: it is unique, yes. The jaw power of the Rex is remarkable among all Theropods. However, evidence are indeed pointing to the direction that both Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus were bigger than Rex. However, bigger doesn't mean they're better. In fact, I don't think any of them is superior or inferior to one another. They were designed differently to fit their hunting methods. The important thing was that these methods worked.
These die-hard T. rex fans are so obsessed with the Dino cuz it’s so well known (like in the films) and they just don’t wanna admit that the trex could have been taken down by at least some other rival Dino’s
trex could be taken down by several other large therapods, there is no denying that. but there is also no denying that trex could do the same to each one. nothing is invicable

Me when I'm in a fight with a child and I win at 1:02
Any meat-eating dinosaur that's bigger than T-Rex is as scary as my mom when I don't get my chores done.
Lil Ravi from our *current knowledge*, that’s not true.
The man in the size comparison must be a giant. The skull alone is 1.75 and the man is double the size of it.
got major shivers when it did a close up to the nose when it breathed :3
We all missed these
0:55 They disagreed the winner of T-rex - Spinosaurus fight.
DWE-Dinosaur Wrestling Entertainment
LOL
1:02 They made the noise the Dinosaur King Daspletosaurus made!
A, o the only one who thinks the shaky cam on the cat hats butting heads and flailing their arms is so adorable
😂😂🤡🤡
Imagine any jurrasic movie
Having this kind of start off
I like that the young male Carcharodontosaurus are fighting over a hunting ground
I only keep watching this because of the way he says carcharadontasaurus
Can we appreciate the camera man sacrificing his life just to film this
Wait, charchar was an allo cousin? Huh, you learn something new everyday
Doesn't anybody else think that it's unfair that Deltadromeus and Bahariasaurus weren't featured on Planet Dinosaur?
@vaggos7kats: it is unique, yes. The jaw power of the Rex is remarkable among all Theropods. However, evidence are indeed pointing to the direction that both Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus were bigger than Rex. However, bigger doesn't mean they're better. In fact, I don't think any of them is superior or inferior to one another. They were designed differently to fit their hunting methods. The important thing was that these methods worked.
1:31 I didn't know Carcharodontosaurus could headbutt.
mad respect to the camera man who went millions of years back in time to film this
cringe overused joked.
"ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRR!"
Oh man, best line ever!
0:36 it says carcharodontosauru on the top not Carcharodontosaurus!
+Tyrannosaurus aegyptiacus 423 (Dinofan15) Thanks for pointing that out, would not have known that other-wise
Xavier Horn lol!
Hey hey hey just rivisiting my childhood
0:35 "Like Spinosaurus, it too was bigger than T-Rex" that aged horribly but at least the rest of the video aged well (except for some of those sound effects)
My favourite Dinosaurs are Spinosaurs Allosaurs Daspletersaurs and Albertorsaurus and also T-rex
no giganotosauras
Carcharodontalus 21 stfu giganotosauras could kill you with its claw
Awesome Destroyer he is saying his favourite dinosaurs not the best dinosaurs so shut up kid
1:47-2:00
When there's only one slice of pizza left.
it's like the cameraman was coked out during filming with all that spinning and zooming
" 4 times bigger "
Allosaurus : 8 metters ;
Carcharodontosaurus : 13 metters ;
Me : * visible confusion *
