The Financial District is a neighborhood in San Francisco, California, that serves as its main central business district. It is home to the city's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, law firms, insurance companies, real estate firms, savings and loan banks, and other financial institutions. All six San Francisco Fortune 500 companies-McKesson, Wells Fargo, Gap, Charles Schwab, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and Salesforce.com- are located in the district.
The area is marked by the cluster of high-rise towers in the triangular area east of Kearny Street, south of Washington Street, west of the Embarcadero that rings the waterfront, and north of Market Street. The city's tallest buildings, including 555 California Street and the Transamerica Pyramid, and many other tall buildings, such as 101 California Street and 345 California Street are located there. Montgomery Street (sometimes called "Wall Street of the West") is the traditional heart of the district.
Since the 1980s, restrictions on high-rise construction have shifted new development to the adjacent South of Market area surrounding the Transbay Transit Center. This area is sometimes called the South Financial District by real estate developers, or simply included as part of the Financial District itself.

I remember back in the 90s flying into San Francisco and walking around. Went into Tower Records and saw an ad that Bob Dylan was playing that night at the Warfield Theater. I then hopped into a taxi and saw the show. Fun adventure!

been on youtube 14 years and POV videos like this i thought would never exist/need to exist, but they are so wonderfully approachable and insightful. ive lived in the bay area my whole life but even seeing my own city and other famous populous ones is fascinating for real.
well you can watch San Fran die before your eyes. I was also born in the Bay Area, Alameda and the political bullshit has killed Calif and thousands are leaving every day.
I visited San Francisco in 2006 always wanted to visit since a was young boy, absolutely love the place, it’s amazing, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, just amazing place, 1 day a wish to visit again, ❤️

It's a great place, do a lot of research; there are more people on the streets, they look scary but mostly harmless, even nice. Tourist spots have pro thieves, not a lot but . . . and enjoy the beauty hope you come soon.

Everyone used to love CA but now everyone hate it since the cost of living is too high! So people move out of CA to somewhere cheaper. But SF looks beautiful, maybe I will move there once I get a shit ton of money!

when you come from Edinburgh, which is more like a village than a city, this is just such a different scale. It's nice to see the harry potter advert on the tram, though. I live near the coffee shop she wrote the first one in. Funny how my tiny city and country seem to get everywhere. 🏴✌️
