Thanks for watching everyone! If you want more content from me I just post an exclusive photography vlog over on patreon. Its linked in the description.
Thanks for these small city videos Evan! I got inspired and I shot a vlog photographing my small home town when I went back for summer holidays. It is amazing how much we neglect until we put our minds to them. I feel like I just scratched the tip of the iceberg with the photos I created in this photo walk. Despite the fact that these are small places, photos are plenty!
Very cool. Love the tips. I actually had used the 'reflections' idea a while back - I was trying to photograph through a (essentially boring) storefront window... and one of our local 'semi-classic' buildings was behind me, and it's reflection just looked so cool I started concentrated on trying to 'incorporate' it up with my original composition. After watching this, I'm going to give that concept another try (intentionally this time).
The way you make images , people actually do these in 3d softwares and try to create that oldschool feel! You know how to bring that old school feel to your photos 🔥🔥❤️
I find your places very interesting. On the other hand you'd probably find my little town in Germany way more interesting than I do. PS: I like your idea using colorful LED lights. The shots that came out have these "Stranger Things" vibes.
Chris with the fire footy for the intro! really love the small lights. These shots are insanely cool. Been using the new LumeCube panel mini and it slays as well. It's a good ass time to be into visual media. So many great options.
Always giving out creative inspiration man, really enjoy the content! Been struggling trying to find more spots to shoot around my town but it’s been kinda tough, haven’t been traveling with the covid situation but guess it’s just time to really think outside the box and get creative with what I got at this moment!
Loved the video Evan! The photos looked amazing. I'm definitely going to try some of those too on my next photoshoot. Those lights are cool too (but a bit expensive). Awesome video!
That last shot is insane 🔥 Would love to see it printed huge Thanks for the video, it's not that I live in a boring city but it just never gives me inspiration
Check out McDonough, GA sometime. It's not too far from Conyers and it's about 30 mins south of ATL. Stockbridge (city next to McDonough) also has some interesting places to shoot as well including the middle school where they filmed Stranger Things.
I'd be crazy to buy this. I have several colored string lights from my crafting days ,bought for like 5$ each. I just used them last week. And they work on AA batteries, super portable for a night photoshoot
Have you photographed Helen, Georgia? We’re are going to rent a cabin there in October or November from Florida for a little mini vacation. Looks like a interesting town for photography with its German vibes
Yo thanks for watching! I was really happy with how it came together and there’s a lot of options out there as far as lights go too. Honestly you could get away with a strong flash light and some colored gels!
Honestly i could never find a great fit for it on my workflow and I started to stress me out haha it was never the cameras quality. It’s sorta a long story but I just wanted to downsize and not have three camera system options to always be choosing from. Thanks for watching!
I definitely needed this! I’ve been shooting all week and haven’t made any good photos. Thank you! And when’s the next print drop? Didn’t have a chance to grab the last one! Trying to send you one myself.
ayee sick video as alway! those lights are pretty dope and the way you used them creative af! do you have any recommendations for similar lights that are more affordable?
Would like see you make Claxton, Ga look good. I've lived here for 6 years and haven't seen anything that would make a good picture. We're about an hour west of Savannah
even the most boring american city has even more charm than the average german city. here you really have to search your ass off to find interesting places. 😫 so your tips are really helpful.
Man this is just what I needed. Gonna watch this after I do my dishes tho haha! Decided to get back into photography because I have been binging your video's and it's getting me stoked! Gonna get myself that patreon subscription when I get my pay man. Cheers!
Doesn't matter, you can still use a lot of these technique to take great photos. No harm in starting with what you've already got. If you feel like getting deeper into photography after that, you can look into picking up a camera.
Thanks for watching everyone! If you want more content from me I just post an exclusive photography vlog over on patreon. Its linked in the description.
Somehow, you've made a video on every "issue" I've faced with my photography. I love it!
I love how authentic your channel is.. i like how you have not changed

That light set is SWEET! Exactly what I've been looking for.

Haha isn’t it funny how that works! It’s a challenge to see the special parts of something you see everyday! Thanks for watching!
Fühl ich komplett, hier in meinem Dorf mit ca. 7000 ist dann das Feld der interessanteste Part :D
That aperture set looks so slick :O
You're a legend Evan! Thanks for the awesome content 🥺❤️❤️

Ohh that is a good option! Thanks for the recommendation! And yeah shoutout to Chris for the crispy footage, it looked so good!
Super handy tips, love the idea of removing context

Awesome video!
Yeah I agree, you can get creative with flashlights or like I mentioned in the video using a car 🙏
Evan Ranft Absolutely
That last shot is insane 🔥
Would love to see it printed huge
Thanks for the video, it's not that I live in a boring city but it just never gives me inspiration
I love that hat. Chicago Bulls!
Thanks for the ideas. I think my city is really boring, and I live pretty far from any interesting landscapes. I love the photos you got.
Great video Evan. Also liked the intro music 👌🏽
Yooo setting up that red light somewhere in your scene is such a good idea!😯
You’re such an inspiration! Keep going
No doubt!
Shadows are awesome
Hey. I am not getting notifications for your videos. I just happened to log onto UA-cam and it came up. I enjoyed the video. Thanks for the content.

I’ve stayed in cabins near there many times! I haven’t spent a ton of time in the town of Helen haha but everything around it is awesome!
appreciate the lighting tips!

Evan Ranft I have a mini led light with color gels but I haven’t used it lmao. Chalk that up for another case of “gear I haven’t used”
Just have to say great content, great creater! Keep up the good work. One question thought, why not Fujifilm anymore ?
Honestly i could never find a great fit for it on my workflow and I started to stress me out haha it was never the cameras quality. It’s sorta a long story but I just wanted to downsize and not have three camera system options to always be choosing from. Thanks for watching!
Evan Ranft Thanks for reply im with you on downsizing.
this is awesome mannn
Appreciate it! 🙏
Is there any cheaper alternative for those lights you are using and recommend? Great Video! Greetings from Germany.
I definitely needed this! I’ve been shooting all week and haven’t made any good photos.
Thank you! And when’s the next print drop? Didn’t have a chance to grab the last one! Trying to send you one myself.

Check amazon, there’s a lot of options out there for sure but I’m not super familiar with them. Id just read reviews and see what sounds best 🙌
Sterling Aputure AL-M9 Amaran LED Mini Light with the 12 color gels. I bought that for $45
Would like see you make Claxton, Ga look good. I've lived here for 6 years and haven't seen anything that would make a good picture. We're about an hour west of Savannah
You can also budget this concept with a flash light and some colored gels 😃
Did you used a Pro Mist filter in your videos?
Make a video on “editing pictures on iPhone” someday. Also this was good 🔥👌🏻
Thank you! And I don’t do a ton with my phone that’s the only thing holding me back from making a video about it. I do like snap seed tho!
@@RanftEvan Have you ever used VSCO?
I edit a lot on PS Express app on iphone, grew my IG a bit

Great video mate! What do you think of Chimaev, scariest dude in the UFC right now?!
I use Snapseed on my phone but don’t know the function of every tool! Would be cool if you made a video about Snapseed!
Evannnnnn❤

Boring to my friends means creative to me
Any interest in the Leica SL system? What would be your next Leica upgrade/purchase..?
I’ve considered it! It’s a lot of cash haha I’m thinking about an M still if I can find a good deal!
Yeah I also use artificial lights to make a lot of my photos more awesome.
Been contemplating on getting the aputure mc light, I'm definitely getting🔥. Crazy content bro👌
Thank you for watching!
Logo7 Snapback 👀
Having moved from TOKYO of all places to a small town in Texas...I need some insight
