The door on our 5th wheel is only 24” wide. We went with full size residential sofa with recliners on each end, and reclining theater seating by Lazy Boy. Each sofa is held together by two pieces of angle iron along the base, front and back. Remove those two pieces, then the back separate from the seat easily. The sofa broke down in to 6 pieces, the theater seating was 5. Reassemble both couches in the RV. Easy Peezy! Pricey, but great quality.
Hey Phil and Stacey. I won't mention the park you're at for the couch episode, but we spent March and April there this past winter and absolutely loved it. we booked there because we saw the park in the episode where Phil was recovering from surgery and while you didn't mention the name, I figured it out and we thank you very much as we loved it. It was booked for 2023 but we've booked for 3 months in 2024. As always, thanks for sharing your life with your followers. Stephen
Hey guys, while renovating our 1981 vintage Airstream, we replaced the old couch with a cream-colored leather Ashley reclining couch. We love it!!! First upgrade we made in our 37BA was the couch. It took a little searching to find the right size, but that was the best upgrade ever. Regular RV furniture isn’t comfortable and it’s not meant for full time living.
We bought reclining theater seats from American Furniture. The salesman guaranteed that it would fit through the door and if not the delivery guys could take it apart and get it through. I measured and remeasured and was pretty sure it would fit. When they showed up to deliver they said they would not take it apart and the salesman was wrong. They would only take off the backs and the legs not the frame. It did fit through the door barely by just taking the backs off. The vertical valances hit when the sofa was reclined so I took them off and had an upholstery shop cut them down for $30. Now we are comfy and happy.😀
My husband took out our huge rv sofa, came out in many pieces to get through door!! He replaced with a futon, for our kidlets to sleep on when they visit!! It has totally worked!! Also got rid of ugly, heavy lazy boy chairs, replaced with 2 Ikea! Love them!! Must add that our 5th wheel does not move, we are in a rv resort!! Hey, Stacey, I have also painted cupboards, so okay orange!! Husband made new wooden (burned them) valances!! Now I'm using peal & stick wallpaper!! Looks so much better!!
So no I did not paint the cupboards orange!! The cupboards were oak that turned orangey color!! They are now mint, uppers & creamy bottom!! Looks awesome!!
We swapped out our hide-a-bed two weeks after we got our coach. We got electric recliners from Lazy Boy. They come in two pieces and are easy to get through the door. We selected the electric models as they do not go back when they recline, they slide forward. This allows them to ride on the slide and we can use them without repositioning them. We added a center two drawer cabinet between them to complete the set. Looks like they came new with the coach.
Awesome video shipmates! Love the upgrades. I want to replace our furniture at some point and this provided some great ideas. Upgrades: 1. RV Snap Pads was ordered before we took delivery both on yours and Chad and Tara's recommendations. 2. We had our batteries upgraded to lithium and solar installed (800a/h w/ 2400w solar). Mike is able to find space for placement and for us we lost no cargo space in the process. 3. Easy Starters installed on all three AC is a game changer for both the AC and power consumptions. 4. Starlink...what a game changer. We've had the system now for three months and have yet to be in a place that we didn't have better down/up load speeds over our Pepwave Maxtransit Duo system with two companies data sims. 5. We are in a toy-hauler with a small garage (Momentum 376THS-R) and I own a Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra, I installed the "Biker Bar" in the garage and it has been excellent for securing my bike. No more crawling around trying to secure cargo straps to hold the bike in place.
Enjoyed your video. We replaced both coiuches in our 98 american dream. in the slideout I built cabinetry to encase the 42" led tv. On the other side, wife found a entertainment dual recliner wall hugger type with center console for drinks and storage at AARONs. It actually came apart in several pieces. the frame is angle iron, the 2 seats unbolt from the frame, the backs come off the seats, and the console is small enough to move in with no problems. We got the frame inside, bolted the 2 seats and center console to the frame, re attached the backs, then let the recliner all the way out and bolted the frame to the floor like the original couch/bed was, so the backs were an inch or two from the window. Works like a charm. and I sleep i them all the time. If I knew how to add pics add do so for the recliner and cabinetry.
We are in the process of changing out a few things as well in our 2019 Open Road, but what do you do with the old furniture? Is there some place you can trade it in or sell it?? Thank you Phil and Stacey for all the information and help over the years.
Good job guys! We switched out our old couch for a two recliner w/console unit for our Newmar Dutch Star. It is very comfy! Bought at Camping World so the price wasn’t great. Hubby has back issues so when he felt comfortable on something we bought it. It comes apart so it easily fit through the RV door. We are in our 60s and easily handled the install.
Mike and I still have the old couch. Mike doesn’t know it but I’ve been looking to replace it. He will get a say lol. Your two videos on the captain chairs and couch is going to help a lot. We are newbies and learning a lot from you both. Thanks for the videos. Going to get my headboard and window units done this weekend. You made it sound so easy 🤞
Thanks for showing how to fit the couch through the door. Looking to replace my recliners with a loveseat recliner. We removed our table since we don't use it and replaced it with a 30 inch high cubby. It fits perfect and everything is neatly stored away.
We switched out our couch for a 2 recliner loveseat. NOT RV FURNITURE. We love our new loveseat. The store delivered and set it up. Came in the door! Thanks for the videos. My future dream is to turn our inside Rv into a farmhouse look.
Nice coach and recliner. We switched out our sofa (very uncomfortable) for theater seating. We bought Seacraft theater seating. We had to modify the flooring buy it turned out good.
I had replied to your Facebook before seeing the video. I laughed when I saw you got your couch from IKEA too. It is deeper than the original couch. Definitely more comfortable. And has made a great bed when needed. DH slept on it for about a month or more, after his ankle fusion. Just didn’t want his leg bumped. He also told me that it was more comfortable than our mattress. We have since replaced our mattress. 😁
I really like watching all your video . You both seem to be really relaxed doing this . I myself would just stand their with that deer in your headlight look. So I will do what I do best and watch your great videos !
That’s why I bought my Rec-Pro recliners to replace our butt numbing jack-knife sofa. Rec-Pro is completely modular. Recliner is two pieces. I did the whole job myself. Out and in. Only took two hours.
We had our captain chairs and our 1 couch reupholstered with ultra leather. Then we changed out our sleeper couch for Lambright theater seating and they matched the material. The Lambright furniture is very well made, its made to come apart to fit in your RV door. We didn't have it installed but they will also install for a fee . Located in Topeka IN near all the RV manufactures. It did take 6 months to get it after we ordered it but they do have some available in their showroom.
We ordered our chairs from Lazyboy, too and did away with the couch. Easy to get in and out because the backs on the Lazyboy’s come off easy by flipping the levers. Way more comfortable and the real leather is cooler and won’t peel like most cheap RV furniture.
We just replaced our furniture as well. We went to Lambright Comfort Chairs in Indiana. They are an Amish family and we absolutely LOVE it!! We paid a small fee and they removed our old furniture and installed the new. Soooo much more comfortable than the original stuff.
We replaced our couch with 2 RV power recliner with console. It fit great in our 2014 tiffin phaeton. It came in pieces so it was easy to get in the door.
I removed the couch from my older Class C and replaced it with a RecPro double recliner. RecPro, while expensive, makes sure the modular pieces are built to fit through a standard RV door. I was able to load the new recliners myself. Then, when assembled, they lock together to form one piece.
Boy this is a timely video. This weekend we just ordered two recliners and sofa bed with a memory foam mattress from Lazy Boy. Our GD Reflection 5th wheel door is 70 inches tall and the sofa is 69 inches. We’ve done a lot of looking and shopping and finally found a store willing to take time with us and find something that will work. Only downside is, it will take a year or so since I picked a non stock fabric and it’ll be custom made.
We bought a new leather love couch and took out the table we have a momentum that has a table in the back. We bought it from a furniture store the guys came thru the patio in the back and fit thru our other door perfect. I do like your couch
Love that LazyBoy. We deleted our dining table and chairs (never used - too tight to sit at) and replaced w two lazyboy recliners. Ours are a little over padded like you mentioned. We move them for travel as well. ‘06 Allegro Bus 42QDP. See ya out there. Love your YT channel.
We replaced ours with an IKEA Holsmund and love it. We gained storage underneath for the bedding. We have a 40’ Newmar Mountain Aire DP and had no problems getting it the door.
Just moved into a DRV-5th wheel yesterday. Had the movers remove the rv recliners and put in 2 we had already bought. (Not rv furniture) 1 came apart in 2 sections the other was reclined and fit through sideways. Lay Z Boy recliners always come apart the back from the base and I’d think almost any LZB would fit in an rv, it’s a matter of price after that, but the quality is great. We really want to get a new sofa and am thinking the only ones that will fit and will be affordable will be an ikea. My husband is a Marine Vietnam veteran and disabled, he still has nightmares and doesn’t sleep well, wants to keep a tv on and sleeps on the couch. He’s 6’ tall idk how durable an ikea sofa will be with him sleeping on it at every night. 🤷🏻♀️ We shall see.
We bought a new loveseat double recliner from RecPro with leather cover. It came in pieces that fit through our RV door. It is very comfortable. The one thing we didn't expect was the height of the seats from the floor of our slide. We replace our dinnette and seats insead of our jackknife couch due to the height of the seats on our slide. We updated our couch by removing the sofa cushion and back down to frame and ordered a matress and made it into a futon style couch with cover. Great updates as always great video. Love you guys❤😃 Happy 4th of July !!! Stay safe
We went with 2 power recliners in place of our uncomfortable jackknife couch. The recliners came apart so very easy to get into the RV. They were bought at The Brick, which us a Canadian home furnishings store, much like Ashleys.
I replaced our very uncomfortable dinette with power recliners from RecPro and love them. The recliners/with console are easy to get in the rv door as they are in pieces.
Looks great! We swapped out all of our furniture with residential furniture. One piece I found at IKEA and I found a super comfy couch at a random local furniture store. Hardest part was getting the RV furniture out!
Hey guys love the couch. We changed our couch out as well and we have a Georgetown and the problem with it is the fake pleather I hate it. So we went with a power love seat made of leather and what a difference. We had more trouble getting the old one out then getting the new one in. Our new one splits in half and the backs come off so easy. we also replaced the crappy mattress which was a short king for a short queen more room to make the bed but we went with a Bob O Pedic which is a less expensive Temper Pedic. You have inspired me to remodel our motorhome but I'm having problems with putting paint on my cabinets ouch. Keep up the great videos.
If not paint ,then maybe sanded and lighter stain, all way to natural .or white wash. Thanks about Bob o Pedic , we looking and noted all good things in a yr or so ,God Wiling ,be on a Road again.
When doing this, remove the mattress, then the sleeping unit, lash the it together and carry out. MANY years of experience. Then disassemble as Phil and Stacy did.
@@PRINCESSKELEA777 Yes, it is quite heavy and this will make it much easier. Open the sofa and remove the mattress. Close the bed frame and tie it together so it won't open up. Next remove the nuts and bolts holding it together and carry it out in pieces.
You both have helped me decide to remove my couch in our Winnebago View. I want to put in recliners. The couch is so uncomfortable, only one of us can sit on it at a time. Two people do not fit. I am hoping to find recliners with the folding side tables, because we do not have a dinette. Thanks for all your ideas. Stay safe.
We removed the love seat with recliners for two Lazboy recliners. Both came apart easy and made a bracket to anchor the Lazboy recliners to the slide floor. So comfy. It did block the small window in our Phaeton 40 QBH, but it's a small window and was not used for a view anyway.
Love the new sofa!! We have a 2019 Jayco Greyhawk 30X. Didn’t like the vinyl sofA so replaced it with a sofa from RecPro. Came in three pieces so easy to come in the door. Has a center console for storage and drink holders. Reclines all the way back for a nice resting area! Material instead of vinyl and SO comfortable!
Recpro is such a great price for the sumprema jackknife leather version they have less than $850 and free shipping. I just want to know if it will do the infamous peeling like all the other 2011 to 2016 ish rv furniture did.
Hi - When we bought our RV (2015 Tiffin Phaeton), the previous owners had removed the original furniture and put in two recliners. They were comfortable, but quite used looking and we thought we'd rather have a couch and recliner to make it homier. So - we took out the two recliners and bought a Kathy Ireland couch and recliner online from Camping World. We bought the couch because we liked the way it made into the bed. The couch just basically folds out and creates a nice (kid-sized) bed. The recliner is a rocker/recliner and it is very comfortable, but the problem with it is that the base of it is on a round pedestal and it can't sit far enough off the wall to not knock the wall when you sit in it. If you pull it too far out, it leans too far forward and you'll fall out plus it's in the middle of the room, blocking the fireplace and TV. Securing it for travel is another issue - we have to wedge it just right and surround it with pillows so it doesn't bang against everything, threatening to break the window!! The couch isn't comfortable to sit straight in (we bought it online and that was a mistake). The seating part is too short so it's really only comfortable if you sit sideways and put your feet on the couch, too. The whole set up cost us about $1500. Someday, we will replace both. It is really not an ideal solution. Very nice upgrade. I took out our couch and love seat and built a custom dinette and bunk beds for the grandkids. I used regular twin sized mattresses, so sheets, blankets and bedspreads are not a problem. I have plans on removing our recliner and building a custom Murphy bed. When the Murphy bed is up, I'll have a panel that will drop to provide a desk for the passenger seat or extra table for food. All the new furniture I built is painted white to brighten up the coach.
We replaced our couch purchasing one from Walmart. We searched until we found one the correct width and came ready to assemble. With our new couch, there was enough space on the sides that I was able to add narrow storage shelves on each side. We are able to use the top shelf to hold our cups and other constantly used items.
Thanks for that swap out video! We are wanting to swap out our dated floral fabric couch in our Holiday Rambler Navigator with a new leather couch but have the same concerns about getting it thru the door as well. Keep up the great content! Love y'all!
Great video…Thanks. We also replaced out old pleather sofa with an IKEA Friheten sleeper sofa and love it. We have a Keystone Cougar 5th wheel and had take it thru the door unassembled, but it was not difficult to assemble once it was all inside. Did you have to secure your new sofa or do you secure it while traveling?
what a beautiful guitar. thanks for the video. we are looking to buy a used RV and most we look at, have awful couches or its missing altogether. i was uncertain how we would replace it until we watched your video
we replaced our theater seats for two lazy boy recliners because they came apart and are a lot more comfortable than the old stuff. we have a toyhauler . we have done away with tables on a stick they wobbled to much so we just bought 6 ft lifetime table does great stores behind recliners.
Any link/Name of the couch? I love it! First thing I’ve experienced on my first month full-timing is the dreaded peeling leather. Not a fan of fake leather either especially with my dog. If you have the info on the couch please reply!
Great looking new couch! Are you doing anything to secure it to the floor of the slide? We have a Winnebago Vista and are shopping around to replace the very uncomfortable couch. My wife so want to do something similar with the valances that you have done.
OMG, you both remind me of me and my wife trying to move something. Best of luck on the new couch. Our Motor Home has the same woodwork color, so definitely going to look at your table/couch video.
Another good info video. We are stopping in RB in August to replace the worn captain's chairs and now starting to look for a new recliner and couch. It seems 4 years is about the life span for the less than good quality furniture in an RV. I was a bit surprised that this was the case with Tiffin as well.
Dang Phil.. Stacey is tough as a Lightered Knot ! You’d better walk a chalk line.. lol. Always enjoy your videos.. Hope to see y’all out West sometime.. We’re in a Tiffin Allegro Bus in Idaho !
We completely gutted a 2010 Cyclone & used IKEA for our couch as well. It fit perfect in the slide , I built it in place by myself & it has a Queen sleeper with storage. IKEA for the win
We changed out the L-shape sofa in a Fleetwood Bounder. We only had 80 inches in space. We wanted a couch but most were too big and the loveseat was too small. We ended up getting two end pieces of a sectional and it fit perfect. Each end piece were recliners and they hooked together so it still looked like a couch and did not separate from each other.
We did the similar thing. We used two middle pieces of the IKEA sectional so we didn’t lose space to the sofa arms. Sectional pieces are great to create the needed couch length when you have the odd size where couches are too big and loveseats are too small.
We got rid of our Flexsteel furniture from our 2016 Nexus Bentley because all the faux leather was flaking off. Removed our couch & dinette and replaced with a solution from Home Reserve (highly recommend!) Home Reserve sells couches in a modular manner. They ship all the materials and you put together. Fit through our door with no problem! Our couch is now 110 inches long with storage underneath! Also, it’s made out of a quality wood laminate product so weighs a lot less than the metal from what we took out.
We put our leather loveseat from our house in the RV. All I had to do was take the feet off and it fit like a glove through the door. It makes the RV feel more like home.
We switched out our couch with a much nicer couch - that had a recliner at each end, we cheated though - we had the RV place do it, cost a 100 bucks but well worth the less effort on our part. We also upgrade the mattress, that we did ourselves with a Tuft and Needle - small box Big King size when it unfolds itself. Nice job on the cabinets -Like the stick on stuff also.
Got to know how you secure for sea with the new furniture? Did you get the seatbelts to pass through from the back, or did you use them to hold the sofa in place for travel days?
Not too many of those TREKs left around. Downsizing from my wonderful old 2000 Bounder 36S, I bought one of the last ones made under the Monaco name. 2016 Monaco TREK 26HM-D. Tan and taupe with the big orange name stripe. Actually Monaco was bought out by REV in 2015 and the 2016 was built on the Fleetwood assembly line so the front end design looks like a Fleetwood and the cherry interior cabinetry is also from Fleetwood. The bedroom has two optional designs. An electric lift up queen bed with closet and storage cabinetry underneath. Or a more standard walk around rear headboard with cabinet surround. Unfortunately, I have the lift up bed. Do not need to put it up too often, thank heavens. Very tight with the slide in. I have the dinette option instead of sofa but I recently came up with a great remodel design that preserves the under dinette drawers and gives me a dedicated desk while moving the recliner onto the slide to now face the TV cabinet. More open and much more livable and mostly just reusing and repurposing the existing pieces doing some woodwork modifications to the bench seats. Project executed by THE GARAGE in Orlando, Florida. Great husband and wife work team. Her mother is a good friend of mine. They do mostly vehicle audio, lighting, security cameras and did my new backup camera system. It was surprising to discover he also did meticulous interior woodworking. Love the results of my remodel and liking my rig more than ever. Next would be recovering the recliner and cockpit seats or replacing them as the cheap vinyl has pealed badly.
@@dorisshanks7295 that sounds great. We have the electro magic bed but someone was fiddling with it when we had our generator serviced and tried to lower it with the safety pins in. They sheared the key in one of the gears. We are hoping desperately to get it fixed at Good Times RV. Plan B will be going to a good quality sofa bed. We love our Trek, and wouldn't change anything if we didn't have to. Thank you so much for your interest and reply.
When I bought my Grand Design Reflection 311BHS, It didn't have seats in the living room. I took out the dining room table and put in a residential sofa w/ reclining ends. In place of the table, I put in a lay-z-boy recliner. How I got it in? With blood (literally), sweat, and tears. The chair was really easy to get in. The couch came in 2 pieces but was still hard to get in.
Love the new sofa! Great information you shared. I have a question. How did you secure the sofa for the seat belts to be used? Or did you just leave free?
The seatbelts are still bolted to the floor under the couch. The couch is also secured to the floor. I don't like them because you should be facing forward in a vehicle. We also have seatbelts in our booth if needed.
So couple questions does the original rv couch attach to the RV itself in case someone is sitting in them as your going down the road? And are their seat belts in the original couch? I’m so confuse if these new couches and chair aren’t attached nor have seatbelts wont people and guest go flying around if had to break or have a finder bender ?
Hi guys! I don't know if I missed it or it wasn't mentioned so is the coutch anchored to the floor or not? This is my big worry... Shouldn't it be for safety? The recliner is obviously not, just tucked in the corner... If you anchored the sofa, what kind of screws, how long, anchor brackets, how deep in the slide floor and shouldn't it be screwed in a slide floor joist? Or is screwing anywhere in the floor plywood is enough? Thanks in advance!
We liked our couch but didn’t like the waste of space with the fold out bed… so hubby & I took the bed out and built a wood & metal frame with ‘trap doors’ so I gained storage space!
You guys work great together as a team.
You see that Phil it's good to have a strong woman by your side

The door on our 5th wheel is only 24” wide. We went with full size residential sofa with recliners on each end, and reclining theater seating by Lazy Boy. Each sofa is held together by two pieces of angle iron along the base, front and back. Remove those two pieces, then the back separate from the seat easily. The sofa broke down in to 6 pieces, the theater seating was 5. Reassemble both couches in the RV. Easy Peezy! Pricey, but great quality.
We took out our booth and put in a computer work center with two monitors that are recessed and go up and down like televator. I love It!
Hey Phil and Stacey. That is awesome!
Awesome video shipmates! Love the upgrades. I want to replace our furniture at some point and this provided some great ideas.
Upgrades:
1. RV Snap Pads was ordered before we took delivery both on yours and Chad and Tara's recommendations.
2. We had our batteries upgraded to lithium and solar installed (800a/h w/ 2400w solar).

Wow, I am just glad Stacy did not drop anything on her feet while wearing those sandals.
I was cringing about that as well. Not going to say how I know. 🤭
Now remember Phil, the lever on the recliner doesn't count as exercise equipment:)

Go for it!
Wow. You guys did good! That definitely was an easier move out. Thanks for guiding the rest of us.
Our pleasure!
Man! Time flies! Hard to believe it’s been two years since you painted the cabs! I love the new couch! Looks so comfy! ❤️Jane
Hey Stacy, love your work shoes 😂 hubby gives me heck for working in mine!
They are also my hiking shoes!
I myself would just stand their with
that deer in your headlight look. So I will do what I do best and watch your great videos !
Thanks for watching!
That’s why I bought my Rec-Pro recliners to replace our butt numbing jack-knife sofa. Rec-Pro is completely modular. Recliner is two pieces. I did the whole job myself. Out and in. Only took two hours.
All right honey we’re taking the slide out lol 😆
Shhhhhh.....don't let Stacy see this! LOL
love the new couch! I think the colour pops. :)
And watch a 45 minute video from you guys anytime! You guys are fun and give out a lot of good information!
Love the “upgrades”, we went to Dania Furniture and purchased two Stressless recliners. No problem getting thru door. 🦅👍🇺🇸😎💐
We LOVE OUR NEW COUCH!! (Residential not RV).
We really love your too!! Nice!!
Phil is the best RV cabinet and wall painter in the business 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I removed the couch from my older Class C and replaced it with a RecPro double recliner. RecPro, while expensive, makes sure the modular pieces are built to fit through a standard RV door. I was able to load the new recliners myself. Then, when assembled, they lock together to form one piece.
Great Job! Beats taking the Windshield out!! New couch sure makes it look Homey. Cheers!!
Oh boy! I love your new couch!! What a difference.
Thanks for the SHOUT OUT FRIENDS!!
Will a 6' sleeper sofa still have to be disassembled? 😢
@@PRINCESSKELEA777 Yes, it is quite heavy and this will make it much easier. Open the sofa and remove the mattress. Close the bed frame and tie it together so it won't open up. Next remove the nuts and bolts holding it together and carry it out in pieces.
@@srperk6163 Thank you. 😝 Haha.
Stay safe.
Take a look at Rec-Pro furniture. It’s made for RVs.
Looks great! Good job guys!
Thanks so much!
I just want to know if it will do the infamous peeling like all the other 2011 to 2016 ish rv furniture did.
we just took out our dinette in our rv and installed a recpro sofa - for the win i save 60 plus screws and bolts for projects
Great up grade. I’d drag my feet on painting also Phil.
I will secure it to the slide floor before we get underway.
what a beautiful guitar. thanks for the video. we are looking to buy a used RV and most we look at, have awful couches or its missing altogether. i was uncertain how we would replace it until we watched your video
Like the new furniture
we replaced our theater seats for two lazy boy recliners because they came apart and are a lot more comfortable than the old stuff. we have a toyhauler . we have done away with tables on a stick they wobbled to much so we just bought 6 ft lifetime table does great stores behind recliners.
glad to see you guys doing bondage with the old bed.
LOL
Any link/Name of the couch? I love it! First thing I’ve experienced on my first month full-timing is the dreaded peeling leather. Not a fan of fake leather either especially with my dog. If you have the info on the couch please reply!
Happy 4th of July Weekend by the way!
Thank you for showing us how to remove the sofa. Y’all made it easy to follow. Another marriage saved 😂
Our pleasure! LOL
Great looking new couch! Are you doing anything to secure it to the floor of the slide? We have a Winnebago Vista and are shopping around to replace the very uncomfortable couch. My wife so want to do something similar with the valances that you have done.
Yes, we will secure iit to the floor.
OMG, you both remind me of me and my wife trying to move something. Best of luck on the new couch. Our Motor Home has the same woodwork color, so definitely going to look at your table/couch video.
We bought our couch from Walmart. Its a futon . Very comfortable. Came in a box 21 inches wide
Another good info video. We are stopping in RB in August to replace the worn captain's chairs and now starting to look for a new recliner and couch. It seems 4 years is about the life span for the less than good quality furniture in an RV. I was a bit surprised that this was the case with Tiffin as well.
I have a Renegade Ikon. I had custom furniture made for it at the factory.
Keep the rubber on the road and safe travels.
We haven't been brave enough to start any mods..... Your's look great!
You can do it!
There is some who had their RV furniture reupholstered somewhere in Iowa. The company did an amazing job. It is a couple on UA-cam.
We got rid of our Flexsteel furniture from our 2016 Nexus Bentley because all the faux leather was flaking off. Removed our couch & dinette and replaced with a solution from Home Reserve (highly recommend!)
Home Reserve sells couches in a modular manner. They ship all the materials and you put together. Fit through our door with no problem! Our couch is now 110 inches long with storage underneath! Also, it’s made out of a quality wood laminate product so weighs a lot less than the metal from what we took out.
We did look at Home Reserve as well.....another great option for sure.
Loved your “activities”!
I knew what I had to do, I was just hoping I was wrong lol
RecPro designs their sofas to fit through a 22" door. Mine is 24" so NP! Ill be finding out next week when I try to get my new 80"sofa in the Monaco.
Sharon & I have rented, retiring soon, and beginning to look for a 33AA. Do you wish you had bought one with lighter wood interior?
Question: Do you need to secure the couch and recliner to the motorhome? Thanks!
Interesting to see. Our problem is we need to get a sofa bed in to our Safari Trek 2480!! Lots of research coming up, it seems..
I just bought a travel trailor . Gonna live in it . Cherokee wolf pup 14cc. Love it any tips would be appreciated 😎😎😎
We replaced both couches with couch in a box they are great
Phil Stacey I know this not a couch question the question I have is what is the model of your internal and external thermometer?
I'm surprised you're not painting while it's out 😁
I see, you're planning on painting later!
Love your channel, really like that Lazy Boy Rocker, can you tell me the model name, I need one for my house. Thanks!
