When I get my coach one of the first stops will be go get Magne shades // for the heat I drink a homemade "brew" I make a weak peppermint tea using 1/2 oz. peppermint and 1 pt. water. Add the juice of one lemon. Cool in the frig when severing add ice and you can add a sprig of fresh mint if you have any. Drink freely to avoid the debilitating effects of heat.the lemon juice is good for you and the mint will make it feel cool going down.

I think it is a lot easier to use the corner top pockets NOT the middle pockets... try it for yourself.
I had thought you bought this a Longtime ago.
This product is By Far, worth the cost!
We bought 3 years ago, as soon as we bought our Rig.

I have a Magne Shade, my tip is how to store one in the bag they give you. For the from windshield shade I use a large pool noodle. I taped small pieces of metal to noodle where the magnets make contact to the noodle. This allows the shade to be easily connected to the noodle and then roll the shade up around the noodle to prevent creases in the shade. The smaller shades can then be laid on top of the large shade and connected to the magnets to keep them from getting creases.

Those shades are all some and from your review so easy to install and later use. HVAC fact: the a/c is working well when OUT air is 20 degrees cooler than IN air. That said it's always better to start out cooler, 112 in -20=92 out of the a/c, a/c is still working well. So those shades will make a big difference lowering the 112 to 80 in -20 =60 out. Might also be good for buildings with windows in the sun. Any reference on UV tolerance?

adding a quick comment. when possible at least with a Class A. Park with the front window on an East to North direction. . this should keep the sun on it during lower temperatures of the day.. should also allow people to use their big unit awning to shade the side of the RV.

Easy way to mark it is with Dry Erase markers on the inside of the window. Then you know where the inside magnets go. Have someone on the outside and one on the inside, Place the bottom center first, attach the shade outside and mark inside where the magnet goes, then stretch up to the top,, then right and left sides, then corners.

I purchased my coach new in Jan 21 and drove it directly to Ft. Myers, FL for 10 weeks. My site faced South. It didn't take ver long before we saw "Magna Shades" on other coaches in our park. Needless to say we ordered one very quickly. Our coach was so new, they needed to make a pattern. They were awesome to work with. They had us take a few measurements and we had our brand new shade within a week! Could not be without it in extreme heat or anywhere with sun hitting directly on the windshield.

I've been wanting to get a Magne Shade but was concerned about it blowing off while we're out wheelin, so I looked around the internet and their website and couldn't fine the Wind Rating" so I called them today and found out they are rate for up to 55 MPH winds, but you still can't drive with them on. I also asked about what do you do when you have to replace your windshield, another question I couldn't find answers for, so easy peasy, buy a set of adhesives for $11 scrape of the magnets from the old windshield, requires some effort. You could buy new magnets but that's more expensive so I didn't ask but got the impression they were expensive. Also if you're Military or veteran I'd recommend you call to place an order, they don't have discounts but you could get a free storage bag. I know it not much but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick ....

Magnets inside…magnets outside…magnets all around? Are magnets on both shade and glass? Are the magnets/metal plates on the inside or outside of windows? It seems windshield was inside and side windows appeared you were installing outside, it was not clear which way or why these are installed differently. Anyway seems much better than a bunch of snaps!!!

Phil, I can save you some HEADACHES. I pull the wipers out FIRST. I cut a pool noodle to fit the height of the front shade and lock my pole 1 foot longer than the pool noodle, the noodle fits the pole perfectly. Slip the pole in the passenger top pocket and roll it to the right, keeping the pole level. The shades will pop off the magnets as you roll. Leave it on the pole. Putting it up, start in the top driver magnet and all along that side and roll to the left. Put the wipers down last. I always d`o them alone and never have a problem. I LOVE THEM. I put reflectix up between the windshield and inside NIGHT shade it there is nothing to look at. No heat.

I added a product from 3M called Crystaline. It is a film, not a tint though it does have a non-fade tint to it. The neat thing is that you can put it on your front windshield at 80% and it reduces the heat supposedly by 52%. The darker the film, the more heat it rejects.
I use it on my vintage 1967 MGBGT sportscar. It drastically reduces the heat inside the car while I’m driving. A friend of mine had it done to his parents over 100-year-old house and it drastically reduced the heat during the summer.

We were really on the fence about buying Magne Shades for our own coach before we got to hang out with you guys and help put your shades up. There were two things that changed our minds:
    1) The temp difference with them up was so significant that you could really feel it, and it was only 92 degrees the day we were with you.
    2) You can see through them from inside, but not from the outside.
We ordered ours the day you put your shades up. We’re getting them next week, so they’re taking around 8 weeks after order.
Thanks so much for letting us be part of putting them up! I had my arms outstretched holding two magnets in place on the driver’s side window and Allison told me I looked like I was hugging Ruby!

Hint for PUTTING UP the Magna Shade - take the Magna Shade out of the carry bag. Place the top magnets on the windshield wiper arms. The rest of the fabric will hang down. Use the pole to place one upper corner magnet. Then use the pole to place the fabric corner on the other upper corner magnet. Lift the wipers to be outside the Magna Shade fabric. Use the pole to snug the fabric tight. When TAKING DOWN - Put the wipers under the fabric. Start pulling a lower corner releasing the upper magnets. As the upper fabric drops stick the upper magnets to the wiper arms. When all the fabric is down start rolling the shade. This makes it much easier when putting the shade up next time. Put the rolled Magna Shade in the carry bag. Have a beer.

We also ordered some exterior window tint. When you look at it from outside looks like a mirror. Pretty much like exterior tint they use on building windows. Put on all side windows and rear windows. Talk about making a HUGE difference, you won't believe how much less our AC's run. We were in Florida, talk about HOT! Our driver and passenger side windows I had already added window ceramic tint which made a real big difference driving down the road. Our next purchase will be to add the side Magna Shades to those windows..

I had a 40' motorhome and added a sunshade. In my humble opinion, the Magnashade is too much work, and the magnets are on the outside glass where they'll get bugs and road scum. I don't recall who made mine, but it had a suction cup on a vertical aluminum bar, then you walked it across and it ended with another vertical bar with a rubber bungee hook to the side window frame. It had all the advantages of cool interior, easy to see out but not in, and took two minutes for one person to install. Made for my brand and model. When off, nothing remained. No snaps.

We are on our second Foretravel and both times, we opted to go with "Shade Pro" covers. We purchased our front window and both sides including covers for the wipers for under $350. Work great and would do it again! No magnets, just turn buckles. Yes, you have to use a ladder, but I can put mine up as fast as you can by myself. No matter who you decide to use, they do help in the heat department for sure. It also helps when you have 3 airs on a 40 foot coach! No sweat here! I did look at Magna as well as several others and price came into play, plus the magnet issues, etc. Thanks for your articles and sharing with us all. We Have a Shade Master. let me say first I do believe the Magna Shade is better. I had to drill into the RV in ten different places, they sent no instructions and the middle two attachments are different than the other four on the front Shade. I would rate that as incompetent on their part. I have always thought the biggest problem with at least a class A is keeping it cool while you sit in the sun all day. when I started We would be 10 degrees over the outside temperature, no mater what We did, I have insulated, window shades, double foil shades for all window and am now running about 3 degrees. To add to my suggestion even with an outside front window Shade add a one piece double bubble foil across the front window and that will make it even better.

We use pool noodles to store our magneshades inside the storage bag. Keeps the shade from getting folds and creases in it, which keeps the material in top condition. If you can, store them all on the same large diameter pool noodle. Just lay them out flat and stack them before rolling them up on the noodle. Word to the wise, dont roll them up on gravel as the stones often can be magnetized and stick to the magnets in the shades. We use a picnic table or a paved patio/road surface. Hope to see you on the road.

My Holiday Rambler came with Sun Shades from the factory. One for the side windows and a big front window and came with Wiper blade covers also. Mine has clips on the outside.

What? Mine didn't come with wiper blade covers. It also didn't come with a control panel for the tankless water heater either. I was jipped. Rofl. Love my rambler.

We also have a shade for several windows. It is not magnetized but has snaps. It came with the Rv when we bought it used. And thank goodness because yes it does make a huge difference!.

Last time I was in AZ we had to get even more extreme than the Magne Shade. I bought a truck awning and two tall camp poles, I put it from the top of the cab with suction cups. It shaded the fiberglass nose cap & windshield. Worked great.

Have had ours for about 6 months now. Definitely cooler than before inside the coach which helps protect our dogs. We use the top corner on one side install and it now goes on pretty quickly. Use a pool noodle to roll them up and store them in a pouch we ordered at the same time. We also love that you can see outside during the day, but don’t forget that means others can see in to your coach at night. Still need to use the privacy shades!

The cost is with it. I’ve got similar for my 2021 class C. Black in color and you can see out. It goes well with the full body paint. And the magnets are super strong. I put it on my front and side windows before we left to let it “stretch” out. It’s been good staying put in bad weather but folding it for storage in another thing. I also to the coach in and had the driver/passenger windows professionally dark tinted. Made a huge difference calling the coach when it’s extremely hot. The ac keeps up fine . Glad ya spent the bucks to get all that . It’ll last a good while.

Now that I watched the whole video, one more trick, Step 1. install the outside Shade. step 2. install boubble wrap across the front window, and around the corner of the driver's window. step 3 open drivers window, allowing that 112 to 88 degrees air a chance to get out. step 4 use your inside curtain to sandwich bubble wrap. everyone will have little differences in this, but people will get the idea. lol D

Wow. What’s difference in temperature. Just wondering have you had an issue with strong winds knocking them off?
A great way to stay cool and for a rig like ours able to stay longer boondocking off-grid! Nice job on getting the video up and done so quickly. Woohoo!!!
