The Biggest Difference with Mac & Cheese vs Macaroni Salad is....First Mac & Cheese is a hot meal while Mac Salad in the Philippines is Cold Salad; The second difference is the main content other than Pasta, Mac & Cheese is mainly Cheese and milk mixed with hot pasta vs. Macaroni Salad in the Philippines has different variations, but main condiment is Mayonnaise plus other Ingredients depends on what you prefer. Some people add these following condiments: Mayo, relish, cooked eggs, or chicken bits, pineapple, even bits of ham, chopped apple, raisins and many other combinations which you prefer and they are chilled. Mac & Cheese you can buy the popular brand Kraft here in North America and all you do is boil and mix, like instant meal. More work for Macaroni Salad.....Hope that helps Dustin and the Village people. Take Care Have fun and more cooking over the fire pit....
