I'm a vegetarian in the Army and they only have like three vegetarian options for the MREs. Everyone was always fighting for the Chili Mac while I just wanted the Ratatouille . The struggle was so real.

I was in USMC when they switched from C-rations to MREs. It looks like they've improved. I remember getting dehydrated strawberries, too. We didn't have a drink or heat pack option back then, but they still made you constipated.😂

My dad said when he went to join up he asked around at the v.f.w what branch had the best food. he was told the navy and so he joined up. the irony is he ended up becoming a bubblehead (sub mariner) and they were talking about food on the carriers. 😂 Still he became a nuclear engineer so I think it worked out haha
And among the many Navy assignments, submarines serve the best food. Small crew so it's a lot easier to maintain the quality of the food than it is on a carrier with say 4000 to 5,000 people.

It's so funny how other cultures and even Americans react to MRE's. I've spent sooooo much time in the fields to include the desert, backwoods, and swamps that I can't stand to even look at them anymore. But I had a mega surplus of them when I retired and all the hunters thought they were in heaven when I gave them to them. Didn't even sell them, just gave them all away for free. This is hilarious!

american soldier isnt real. not sure about the Korean tho. american "soldier" is in the wrong ACUs, doesn't have a tan shirt underneath, no patches. its obvious.

My dad said when he went to join up he asked around at the v.f.w what branch had the best food. he was told the navy and so he joined up. the irony is he ended up becoming a bubblehead (sub mariner) and they were talking about food on the carriers. 😂 Still he became a nuclear engineer so I think it worked out haha
damn becoming a nuke in the US navy means hes really smart, the US Navy Nuclear power school is almost as hard as MIT

And among the many Navy assignments, submarines serve the best food. Small crew so it's a lot easier to maintain the quality of the food than it is on a carrier with say 4000 to 5,000 people.
I was on a carrier. Imagine preparing food for 5000 men four times a day. Rush rush rush.
