hi - I'm not sure what the cause might be. It could be to do with system resources if you have an old chromebook. Perhaps worth searching or posting details on the jamovi forum and see if anyone can advise - forum.jamovi.org/

Everything worked until it came to open the app! it wont stop loading and its been a week that i keep going get on and it wont load onto my Chromebook at all! please help!

I have linux installed on chromebook, I have it at 8.0 GB, When I open terminal it doesn't have a commands screen, it shows mw a settings menu: Linux manage, developer settings and other options, same thing f I open a new tab on the terminal, reopen, restart Chromebook. The command terminal only opens up when I first download linux, so without turning it restarting the Chromebook,I tried to download flatpak and it works until installing jamovi. When in put the last command it says error. I don't know what to do or how to fix it. I need the program tho before next week for uni!!! If you could trouble shoot with me! Thanks
Hi - I don't know how to resolve the problem encountered. It might be that some aspects of linux on chromebook have changed since this install guide was created. If you can't get it working, you could consider using the cloud (browser) version of jamovi here - www.jamovi.org/

Hey I'm not sure if you still needed help but I had the same issue and I was able to solve it so after you have jamovi installed and crostini gpu disabled. I simply put in flatpak --user remote-add --if-not-exists flathub flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo and then after without closing the terminal restart your computer when you turn your laptop back on if you press on jamovi it will start loading but wont load wait and after press it again then the jamovi application should work hopefully that helps it helped me on both my computers
Can you provide a bit more info of the problem? What sort of file are you trying to open? e.g. a jamovi .omv data file? or are you trying to install jamovi from a file?

Did you get any error messages at that step before this (where it downloads flatpak)? if that went fine, have you double-checked the text entered for the 3:45 step is identical to the instructions? i.e. flatpak --user remote-add --if-not-exists flathub flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

If you get an error message that prevents saving your jamovi datafile on Chromebook (e.g. when using the 'Save as' menu option in jamovi), try typing .omv in the filename, e.g. 'mydata.omv' instead of just 'mydata'.

at the end of installtion i accidentally pressed enter and then i exit out restart it. can that mess up everything?

I have disable crostini GPU because of the white screen,as mentioned, and now jamovi will not open. What do I do?

After I type info at 3:45 it tells me flatpak command not found

Heaven Denae I had the same problem, so I deleted Linux from my chromebook and I re started everything from the begining and it worked !
