My solution to the stamped baby quilt threads showing up on the back...just go ahead and let the threads show on the back...then (you or someone) lay on on a piece of quilting fabric on the back and along the sides to finish it. (The sides/edges are a key area of wear anyway.). To attach it, 'tie quilt' it in a few places with embroidery floss or yarn and of course sew down the edges. I did this on a stamped quilt 30 years ago.
Yes, I attached a piece of soft flannel on the back of mine. Worked great

Congratulations Meagan ❤🎉 And you have chosen the exact same baby blanket I did for my son, for your son 😂❤ and I agree it was awful to stitch on, but best tip is to do the dark and light version of the different colors first to get an outline and chunk inside, and then fill in with the medium color. The stitches at the edges are the worst, so it gets a little easier when you get to bigger sections that need to be stitched.❤

Congratulations! I did the Noah’s Ark blanket for my daughter when she was born. I went through the back too and my mom took it and sewed fabric on the back so you can’t see it.

You asked us what we think about the Nora Corbet sign, I prefer the light fabric, to me her skin shows well enough on that colour, but maybe in real life it is less visible? As for your Rivendell and Silk Fairy, they both look stunning on the fabric as well as on their pictures, impressive projects!

Congrats on your pregnancy! Regarding the quilts, I just go through both layers and then put a cloth backing on it. Then your stitches aren't distorted and it goes quicker. Good luck.

Hi Meghan! Congrats on the upcoming birth of your son! How exciting for you and your husband! How does your daughter feel about being a big sister soon? Will your mom be able to come over around the time of the birth? Are you planning on moving soon as well? I know you have talked about how small your current home is. You can always sew some flannel onto the back to cover up your stitching on the baby's blanket. My bestie and I both have done that before on blankets since neither one of us have ever acquired the knack of not having our stitching show. So many beautiful WIPs. Hope you start feeling better soon. So many changes all at once for your body to go through. Thank you for all the work in doing a WIP parade.

My mom will be coming for a while to help out - as long as there are no more pandemics! 🙃 Yeah, it's a small place and we have been looking. I don't speak English very well, but i see you stitching the baby blanket and you can start it with a loop too. 😊
I do it with all my stitches 1,2 or more thread. Start front top left to top right, than back in top right so you have a loop, than for the first leg of the x botton left, twist the loop twice so you can fix the thread than you go back through the uper right hole and your knot slips on back. Yet you can cut the littel threadends in the left top hole and do the second x-leg. Hope you can understand I use Google for words 😅

I love the blankets! And congratulations on your pregnancy! I am also stitching the moons pattern and am only on the second one, also stitching them altogether on one big piece of Aida (except for the 13th moon). Can't wait to see your progress on that beautiful blue fabric!

For the blanket you might be able to do a pin stitch start or something similar to be able to start on the front. Scorpio is beautiful on both! I would just see if maybe one speaks more to the decor of your home. I am about to start ‘Kiss for Snowman’ soon. I have a crochet blanket to finish and then I’m rewarding myself with that being a new start. Hope your nausea doesn’t get unbearable!
