I have 2 quick questions. 1. Are you supposed to give your gecko pure calcium or calcium with d3. 2. How old do they need to be to not have the calcium in there cages. Please reply, and thank you
It is far better and safer to use a natural full-spectrum mineral without synthetics such as EarthPro-A and then use UV-B. You can learn more about this whole subject on the video 'do leopard geckos need UV' on our channel.
Ok, the choice of lamp is fairly simple, you can use the free lighting guide on our website also www.arcadiareptile.com Choose a length of lamp that covers half to two thirds the length of the viv. Then the % of UV is chosen with the basking distance in mind. This is the distance between the reflected lamp and the animals back when seated at the top of the basking rock. If this distance is 12-15", then use the 12% UV-B D3+ T5. If it is 15-18", then use 14% UV-B DragonLamp. Hope this helps.
Looks amazing 😉
Thank you

How long do these LEDs last when used as 12 hours on/ off cycle ?
As with all LED products, it rather depends on airflow around the unit. But you should get 5 years.
