Blows my mind how much attention this video got compared to my other videos. It's a great and passionate community. I will definitely try playing on the new servers too :) I like the idea of a fresh start.
its been around since early 2000 as well the new version of the game coming out on steam since in October 8 it be 20 years since the game first came out
I was one of the first to play DAOC.. Back then, in Thidranki, it was axhalf an hour fight just to get to the Mid Bridge.. and you better have a healer or two and at least 4 stealth..
I just want to say, as someone who played DAoC for years back in the mid 2000s, a tutorial for a tutorial does not sound strange to me in the slightest! Ha! Great job, man. DAoC is such a complex and rewarding game and you explained it all very well.
@@rhondafurrow2712 Totally! I played a bunch of DAoC back a few months ago and only stopped because I have forms of content creation on my mind :3 I hope you enjoy it if you pick it up. It's a neat MMO with a tight community. You'll find lots of nice people that would love to teach you the game if you took it up.
Man I played this game from the very start until some years after trials of atlantis.
Every so often I get a big crave to play again.
It was a wonderful adventure when I gave it an honest try :)
Played this for 6 yrs when it came out. I will definitely be coming back when the new server is up and running:)

My fav. Game all time
I see this game as an absolute gem.
Good stuff man. Looks like an interesting game.
Yea! I find it surprisingly satisfying and making a video for it is helping me get into the swing of creating videos again. Thanks Alom 😊

they really don't make games like this anymore
Glad that a few gems are still surviving. Thank you for your comment :)

By the time Thid became a thing, the game had been out for ages. 2-3 years in, you would still see blue players out in the frontiers.

I am super happy to hear that! I appreciate the kind words.. I tried my best :3
I miss the old days when low level areas were cramed with players grinding and questing.
In almost every MMO I've tried... I always say the same thing. Early game is always so exciting, especially with others. Thank you for commenting :)
Well done, very nice vid. Enjoyed it :D
THank you so much! I appreciate the feedback greatly! 😊
i have a IRL copy of the in-game map as i brought the game in IRL in 2005
My dad has so many posters.. it's enjoyably nostalgic :)
Amazink tutorial dadDlys swagLove
Thank you :3

Where it is better to play, official servers or phoenix freeshard?
I liked the official servers :)
Is MOP / FE on a scout broken I try better my game but as a solo scout are melee damage really suck /
I only play 1.65
The problem with that is. No one else does.
where do you create an account and pay?
Hey friend,
you can visit their website here: darkageofcamelot.com/
I am sure the rest is easy to figure out from there. Thank you for asking :3
@@Vanderthal I guess the account manager is offline for maintenance
Bard is of course going to be easiest for new player, you can solo run from anything
I always appreciated a bard when they came about to group up :)
I dont have a hotbar
I am sorry you don't have a hotbar.
very steep learning curve.
(edit) : note you lost me, skipping over the 2 to 4 hrs working on your character's looks.. lol..
Is this game free or subscription?
It's free to play, but you can pay a subscription to unlock a ton of different perks and benefits in game! ☺️
@@Vanderthal thanks for replying I want to try something different and my son showed this to me

needs less Buff Ages of Castalot - melee needs help bad in that game for balancing. until then, thats the recipe (bring buffbot, and be a caster)
My all time favorite game
It is surely a wonder in the gaming world :)
