One key thing I think you could've mentioned is not just patience but also a cool control over your tilting, lurking can be a much more frustrating role than others when things go wrong, aometins enemies just so happen to read you, flick to you successfully or just in general clear you. Sometimes even if you do absolutely everything right ss a lurker sometimes shit just goes wrong that's beyond your control like timing or what the CT's check, so with that in mind you gotta be familiar with how hinge can go wrong when you post up on a lurk and control the frustration of how BS it can genuinely be sometimes when you just get checked or cleared
and its also important to recognise if your lurks fail and stop, if enemies play so random, their strategy is complete chaos... then just lay down some suspicious utility to create presence somewhere you're not. Atleast in valo.

@@WaTzugood points actually, my team mates back in gold nova would always execute at about 1'30 into a round when the cts have most of their utility left. Even then the entry frags wouldn't actually entry, on mirage to give an example they just jump out to Tetris and stay there doing nothing until everyone dies one by one 😂 In those situations I'd actually argue that the player lurking because he knows his team mates won't achieve anything is less of a bait than the guys all fighting one by one and hiding at ramp, because at least he can apply some pressure and force rotates by taking map control. The other option is to entry if nobody else will

I think playing a slower pace in ranked often automatically pushes you into a lurking role. I've found that I am often in clutch situations or the second last alive. The problem with lurking is that it paradoxically relies on your team since either they will give no info and cause a bad timing or simply rush too quickly into the site which gives away the lurk instantly once the team dies.

In my experience, lurking usually puts me in a great position to make impactful mid-round calls since I'm positioned to know exactly what's happening on the opposite site, and I can tell my teammates whether to commit to their site hit if I'm faking the site and holding rotates, or rotate bomb back over to me if the CTs over-rotate, or slow down without committing bomb while I try to hit a good timing and win a duel to open up my site, etc. I find in general too many players in mm don't comm any information while they lurk and it just turns into them having zero impact on the round - walking out onto an empty site and maybe shooting the anchor in the back of the head while their team either successfully execs and wins the 4v4 on the opposite side of the map or gets wiped out. Impactful lurking is an art and you captured that really well with this video.
The quality of content to subscriber count ratio is extremely high. My only critique is the guitar gets pretty loud in comparison to the volume of your voice @ 13:05. Keep up the hard work and GL growing the channel

in valorant i can do the excat same lurk 10 rounds in a row and always be successful... I can teleport in as yoru, get caught off-guard by late B site defender and next round send the same teleporter and do the same lurk even tho now they know how i get behind etc.

Step 1: Travel back in time to 2016 when lurking was a viable 'role' and not just a consequense of your postion after default.
