- Shanti means "peace" in Sanskrit, and has been chanted for thousands of years to support the deepening of inner peace. I have always loved chanting Shanti, and created this version of a Shanti chant for my Resting In The Now CD, released in 2016.
My husband, Richard, joins me on vocals, and our daughter, Rachel, created this video. I'm so pleased to be able to share the song through this video; my intent is to offer you a meditative experience that will be a gift of inner peace.

I watch every video once, then never again. I prefer to listen with my eyes closed and just absorb from hearing and emotions. From the little I know, meditation and mindfulness are the same thing--I do practice mindfulness. I love to listen to one of your songs first, then all quiet just to completely be in the experience of the moment. I will definitely listen to "Ocean of Shanti" again tomorrow.
