I guess I am older (in fact, I have never heard of this show). I was of the 90s "getting Tango'd" era. Now I wonder what kids copied in the 10, 00s, 80s, 70s, etc.
Do sorry I've got no head next! Cbbc was a proving ground for many comedians to start bbc comedy careers, like bbc radio four comedy and bbc three back in its hayday
Oh Noah you have stumbled upon my favourite CBBC show. Although the first series (and the very first episode in particular) is still my favourite. Mainly because of two underrated characters: - The scout leader who keeps using the scouts to get back at his ex-wife and her new boyfriend (recurring) - Jeff the Chef (only in ep. 1)
I can't tell you how much I loved this program as a kid! You'll be surprised at just how many British actors who are famous today got there start in this show!
Kids spent years running around poking eachother and shouting devil finger in the 2000s. It became a part of our culture. Sorry I've got no Head is another similar sketch show from the 2000s, that one had a few different segments catch on like devil finger.
Watching this back for the first time as an adult, and only now have I realised the amount of BBC sketch show regulars that appeared in this show! Alex Lowe (the guy you said looked a bit like Lee Mack) was in a lot of Peter Serafinowicz sketches, James Bachman (the ice cream man) was in many Mitchell and Webb sketches, and there were several other familiar faces that have been in loads of other shows too!
Don’t recall there being a huge difference between the series, but I always preferred Marcus’ King Stupid, but that’s just because I particularly like him anyway.
The kid who played David the Devil Finger boy, Travis Yates, went to the same college as my brother at around the same time. He's now part of an Indie band called The Bright Black.
The purple thing was rusty goffe the third most famous British dwarf from Willy wonka and Star Wars, he is most famous for doing the weather on a trampoline for live tv. He was also the judge for their show topples darts in space ( I’m not making this up)
@@jonathancole833 yeah was founded by Janet street porter but she was bought out by kelvin mckenzie who ran it with nick Ferrari who try’s to pretend he’s this very decent well to do person
Thanks for doing this Devil Finger!!!!! I just watched this on the CBBC channel on Fridays when I went to stay with my grandmother at the weekends. It used to come on after the basil brush show. Competitive Grandpa was my favourite from series 2 " I win!
this was just at that era in witch i was growing out of kids tv but i recall slightly , not heard much about tit recently i am sure there will be no issue of controversy. not the worst choice brother xx
Chanting Devil finger was a regular playground occurrence
That was this shows biggest contribution to culture.
Along with the classic,
“Want it? Can’t have it!.
Want it? Can’t have it!”
I win!!!
@@callumjames7854My shoes, my shoes, my shoes... No... don't take me away from my ingredients!!

Jeff the Chef was episode 2, actually. He's still my favourite part of the show.

You've encountered Marcus Brigstocke before, too! He was on Paul's team on the Brian Blessed episode of HIGNFY :)
Devil Finger had met a girl called Bendy Wendy in one episode lol not to be dramatic but this shaped my humour as a kid
I love this show, continue watching this, please.

Nice did your brother ever talk to him.
@@Lasherluke I can't remember if he did or not.
Never thought I would see a stupid reaction from you.😂
The vet sketch was (seemingly) recycled years later for a Specsavers advert.
I must admit I prefer Miranda with blonde hair.

Topless darts. I remember that station - I think it was based in Canary Wharf.

idk if you have already but you've gotta react to sorry I've got no head. a sketch show with a similar vibe to Mitchel and Webb look but for kids
The purple character is his butler Goober
He is a Gremlin
Great Video Taffe316
I'm probably one of those people who prefer series 1 more than 2
I won't say why because it would spoil it
( 14:49 ) *CLINTON BAPTIST!!*
Devil finger was on par with tangoing
12:48 Wasn't this guy one half of Trevor And Simon?
If you can find it, try Hedz next
2:08 is it just me or did that sound a little bit like Grandpa Simpson
Anyone else spot Trev Neal from Trev and Simon?
I cant think where i know the kid Vernon from at 16:24, anyone got an idea?
Ryan Connor from Coronation Street
He was on Corrie for a bit
