What happened in sumeru with the sabzerus festival samsara was like a mini model of teyvat. I think nahida mentioned that. Someone is asleep, and dreaming the current reality, and needs to be woken up. That will be the travelers job. But I think they will have to oppose celestia to do it, because celestia needs the dream to continue to keep hold of their control of the world. I think the dreamer will be a seelie, and will tie in to Paimon true identity somehow. I’m looking forward to finding out what ever it turns out to be 😅

that is indeed an accurate description of what happens to the people who seek forbidden knowledge- they go mad. most of the time weve seen forbidden knowledge used, its in acts of desperation trying to defeat someone/something, so your theory is likely and has precedents.
What I think kinda odd is that the 7 archons match the 7 elements of the 7 dragons. Dottore said nahida coundn't use the electro gnosis, so the individuals have to have the same elemental power of the gnosis they are recieving. That could explain why they handpicked egeria, and rukkhadevata or before that king deshret(if he was also dendro, idk). Those were the ones who received the gnosis that remained, once there was no other candidate of that element

Gods like Andrius and Osiai did have an animalistic form, though. I guess Andrius is similar to the Adepti, while Osiai is just an overgrown Hydro slime.

I think after the primodial one created the current Teyvat it was ruled by him and 7 different sovereign. Those sovereign later dies, exiled or hiding that's why Teyvat need to have Archon War in the first place. To give the power to the next seven different sovereign, which all are archons that we know. Maybe the first 7 sovereigns after the 7 dragons fell are the 4 shades and the 3 moon sisters. They are all sound like possible candidates for primodial one to bestow his power over the new world he just created.

Ok so the way i see it is that possibly the Primordial one is using each cycle as a way to gain and farm some sort of power from the people of teyvat. I felt something might be off since we see Vanessa get locked up in celestia after supposedly ascending, she looks on in horror as the gates close behind her and only the bird gets out. Maybe what celestia is doing is very similar to what the akademiya did in the sumeru archon quest with the whole dream loop thing taking power from the people inside, (What happened to dunyazard). Maybe this is similar to what Phanes' is doing in each loop of the wars taking some sort of energy from the people at the end? they could also be farming peoples ambitions they use to get visions. War = hard time, people get more ambitious to survive, get strong war kills them, collect stored memories from the vision, then the vision goes blank and finds a new host either by materializing or being found physically. Or these Visons are given to people who have the chance to achive something great/ charge its power? I just think that after the Incident the primordial one is low on energy and is using the subjects of teyvat as a perpetual energy system as they regain their energy to shape the world as they intended. Maybe keeping the traveler on teycat was a part of that plan, after all Lumine and Aether tried to leave, they deemed the world too dangerous and chose to leave in that moment. The Archon War was a cull. There’s no other way to describe it. Even gods that DIDN’T want to fight were forced to. Friends fought friends. Neighbors fought neighbors. Family sacrificed family. Even those who chose to abdicate their claim despite reasonably being more fit for the role, (such as Ei, Andreus, and technically Deshret and the Goddess of Flowers) these individuals essentially HAD to give up their living vessels. Why? They weren’t hostile. They didn’t question or challenge the rule of the chosen Archon. So either it was necessary that there be only sezen entities of absolute authority, or they needed all but the absolute essential seven (needed to act as wardens of the seven nations and the seven sovereign segments) to return their powerful essence to the world. Okay so hear me out. i don’t know how far fetched this theory of mine could be but it makes sense. With what i hear so far, each Samsara cycles involves a Descender falling to Teyvat, celestia being forced to do something because of the Descender which usually leads to a great war that splits the earth, and the Descender dying which resets the Samsara cycle over and over again. So in other words, does that mean us being the fourth Descender would force Celestia’s hand again that would lead to a great war, possibly a war of Teyvat against us, that leads to our death? I suspected this as much because of the many theories and clues leading to the traveler becoming a powerful being that’s capable of destroying all of Teyvat and even a melusine in fontaine mentioned the Traveler would be a monster that swallows the whole world. If so, then could our sibling, who is not a Descender, be trying to defy her role and switch with the traveler’s destiny with being the Descender because they knew what the fate of the past Descenders of the previous Samsara cycles were? The only thing i could think of that didn’t connect with this theory was that if celestia didn’t want another cycle to begin with descenders always forcing their hand in the end, why did the sustainer of the heavenly principles prevent the siblings from leaving in the first place?

The Archon war is just a lot of small wars between gods in every regions, but Liyue in the lore was the main battlefield basically, that's where most of the gods were fighting, as far as we know the only region that almost didn't have any war during this era was Sumeru due to the friendship of the three god kings ruling Sumeru together(it did have a lot of wars technically but not between gods, it's the whole gurabad and 7 city states stuff)
Going on pure Speculation here off "what if things aren't as they sound they are." From my understanding it was a war against the Demon Gods, but aren't the current Archons basically the Demon Gods based on their names? So who did they fight and why? Stay with me for a second, but what if their main protagonist at the time was the "unknown (to us)" Third Descender, and since we are told Celestia rewarded them with the gnosis... created from the mutilated body of the Third Descender! Or did they just take it? In certain supernatural lores, biblical included, there are many different creatures that the body is split apart and kept from each other to prevent resurrection. I get this feeling with why each Archon took a gnosis, but then again that theory doesn't hold up as why do some just hand their's over to the Harbingers willy nilly.

The Archon War was a cull. There’s no other way to describe it. Even gods that DIDN’T want to fight were forced to. Friends fought friends. Neighbors fought neighbors. Family sacrificed family. Even those who chose to abdicate their claim despite reasonably being more fit for the role, (such as Ei, Andreus, and technically Deshret and the Goddess of Flowers) these individuals essentially HAD to give up their living vessels. Why? They weren’t hostile. They didn’t question or challenge the rule of the chosen Archon.
So either it was necessary that there be only sezen entities of absolute authority, or they needed all but the absolute essential seven (needed to act as wardens of the seven nations and the seven sovereign segments) to return their powerful essence to the world. Unless they didn’t return to the world. Maybe it wasn’t even just a cull.

Samsara is so similar to the "Yugas" in Hindu Mythology. Four samsara cycles correspond to four Yugas.
*The four Yugas are:*

And Here's an interesting tidbit: Narayana, the primordial human as mentioned in "Descender Note," is the creator Almighty God in Hinduism. He has taken incarnations to end each Yuga cycle. Also, *there is* a prophecy that he will incarnate again as "Kaliki" to end the Kalyug (current cycle).
Sounds similar to Teyvat, right? As it was hinted in Fontaine that Teyvat will eventually face destruction again.

Also, just to clarify, when I mentioned the 'hinted destruction,' I wasn't referring to the prophecy or the slates in Fontaine, but rather the dialogue where Paimon asks the traveler, 'What would we do if Teyvat were to end?

Okay so hear me out. i don’t know how far fetched this theory of mine could be but it makes sense. With what i hear so far, each Samsara cycles involves a Descender falling to Teyvat, celestia being forced to do something because of the Descender which usually leads to a great war that splits the earth, and the Descender dying which resets the Samsara cycle over and over again. So in other words, does that mean us being the fourth Descender would force Celestia’s hand again that would lead to a great war, possibly a war of Teyvat against us, that leads to our death? I suspected this as much because of the many theories and clues leading to the traveler becoming a powerful being that’s capable of destroying all of Teyvat and even a melusine in fontaine mentioned the Traveler would be a monster that swallows the whole world.
If so, then could our sibling, who is not a Descender, be trying to defy her role and switch with the traveler’s destiny with being the Descender because they knew what the fate of the past Descenders of the previous Samsara cycles were?
The only thing i could think of that didn’t connect with this theory was that if celestia didn’t want another cycle to begin with descenders always forcing their hand in the end, why did the sustainer of the heavenly principles prevent the siblings from leaving in the first place?

I’m kinda confused like we know of the archon war but was it only in liyue and mondstadt? Cuz it never happened in inazuma ((if we didn’t count orobashi)), sumeru or fontaine the archon war is more discussed in liyue more than any other nation it feels like hoyo added it to the lore and forgot about it

The Archon war is just a lot of small wars between gods in every regions, but Liyue in the lore was the main battlefield basically, that's where most of the gods were fighting, as far as we know the only region that almost didn't have any war during this era was Sumeru due to the friendship of the three god kings ruling Sumeru together(it did have a lot of wars technically but not between gods, it's the whole gurabad and 7 city states stuff)

Stay with me for a second, but what if their main protagonist at the time was the "unknown (to us)" Third Descender, and since we are told Celestia rewarded them with the gnosis... created from the mutilated body of the Third Descender! Or did they just take it? In certain supernatural lores, biblical included, there are many different creatures that the body is split apart and kept from each other to prevent resurrection. I get this feeling with why each Archon took a gnosis, but then again that theory doesn't hold up as why do some just hand their's over to the Harbingers willy nilly.

Archons aren't the only gods with demon names, Decarabian, Orobashi and Istaroth are an exemple of that
