I like the ENO hammock stand & its shelter system. But it appears to require substantially level ground since the legs do not telescope. I think RV leveling blocks may help with this weakness if the ground is not too uneven. I like the Tensa hammock stand because it's more forgiving on uneven ground. But it does not have that nice shelter system like the ENO hammock stand. With the Tensa one has to rig an overhead tarp to get the rainfly protection. Another plus for the ENO hammock shelter system is it provides a truly enclosed underneath area around the hammock. This prevents unwanted guests from taking up residency beneath the hammock during the night and it provides a secure place to put shoes, backpacks and other camping support items.
Thanks Steph, helpful video. I use an 11 foot traditional hammock so was interested in seeing if a stand like that would work for me. I don't think it would allow the right hang for me but looks like it is just right for your hammock. Seems like a well made and thoughtful design. As a side note I just ordered an Inlet kayak because of your videos but the water will be getting hard soon in Michigan so will have to wait until spring to try it.
@@smkauthor Thanks Steph, we usually go to Florida in the winter but because of covid we haven't been down. Our old dog is incontinent now so we don't want to rent a house until she is gone. So will probably have to wait until spring arrives up here.
@@smkauthor We were in DelRay Beach the first time then Venice, St. Pete, and Port Charlotte. We kayaked the Myakka River quite often and the bays and Mangrove tunnels near Ponce de Leon. We were going to go to St. Augustine next but covid. hit. We like to explore Nature areas and do a lot of photography.
I made a post on the nomad stand and shelter using different hammocks. I think your haven would work under the nomad tarp, but not with the bug net. They are separate though. Stop by and check it out. Great post! Thanks!

Gal lines.....love it.
It looks like the Haven tent works great with the Nomad.
nice video. could you explain for me what's the usage of the horizontal bar on the top between two stands?

Congrats on the Inlet! Let me know what you think when you hit the water (I think it will be worth the wait!)

Sounds great! Hope you get to visit again soon.
Do you think a haven xl will still work with this stand?
This is what haven tent says about the stands that work: help.haventents.com/en-US/can-i-use-a-hammock-stand-with-the-haven-tent-67814

I actually bought the nomad shelter a few weeks later and it all works with the haven tent!
@@smkauthor that is so cool to know. Now I really need to get my hands on a Haven. Thanks!
I shared a picture of it on my IG: instagram.com/p/CltW1IZLC2e/?
I only chose this hammock when it comes to hammocks
Get yourself Tense Solo hammock stands. Trust me. I use them for my motorcycle camping. You will not be disappointed. Look at my channel for details.
Some bad reviews for this eno!
