arrogant but only in the sense that hes got a right to be, because he and everyone else knows how good he is. i wouldnt even call it arrogant. arrogant is more 'im superior to you', whereas noel is more 'im good and i know im good, but i dont think im superior to you as a person'.
This guy's a MASTER at interviews. Always comes across so laidback n not giving a toss BUT in reality he's obviously very ambitious and determined to succeed even though he always so blase about success and fame.
I do love Noel, respect his opinion and I don't get offended if he feels that way about metal, but yeah there's so much experimental and excellent metal music out there most people will never discover. It's shame that general public will miss so many great bands, in favor of all the shait that's in mainstream media.
Thank you! This guy is one of the funniest and most interesting musicians around, you could listen to this guy all day! If only there were more like him.
I'm not the biggest fan of metal, but even I know that at least some should be respected for their great musicianship. The things that some of them do on the guitar I haven't seen you do Noel.
Neil D'Monte Well that is a very sweeping statement. You could say a sweeping statement that metal is all drop d power chords and ridiculous shredding and fast solos. It means you are skilled yes, but skill doesn't always equate to good music. The Beatles are simple enough to play (IMO) does that make them boring or shit? Bob Dylan is shit because he didn't play Pantera?
Neil D'Monte The Beatles may suck in your opinion but you can't deny the influence they have had in all genres of music especially metal. Two words, Helter Skelter.
"There's a reason why they slit their wrists." funniest damn thing iv'e heard in a long time xD. im a metal head but tat comment was fucking hilarious. btw Noel, goth/emo and metal are ENTIRELY different lol
@AgentOfOblivion and Metallica are a typical sounding heavy metal band. But that's only because they influenced so many heavy metal bands, and the same goes for Oasis, they only sound like a typical indie rock band, because they influenced so many indie rock bands. No one sounded like Oasis before Oasis, but a lot of bands sound like Oasis, since Oasis came out.
@AgentOfOblivion Oasis and The Beatles never even sounded alike, there was always a clear Beatles influence in their music, but if you were to show someone who had never heard of The Beatles or Oasis' music, they would most likely not notice any similarities. And Oasis were responsible for making the whole Britpop genre popular, and so in a sense, along with the likes of Blur & Pulp, they created the sub-genre.
noiseofthesilence Ciao Noise, sei Francesco?
I "like" Oasis' first few albums, but I could EASILY imagine a world without those two albums. A world without Revolver, The Beatles (White Album) or Abbey Road? I don't want to live in that sad world. Now that's an actual question. ;)
Noel's "lost artist" of the age - a band called "Smaller" who could have been "bigger" Was this an actual band or a moment of impeccable wit from Noel?
amcd981 lol... yeah they were a band, led by digsy - the guy the oasis song digsy's dinner was based on. check out their tracks 'wherever love lies' and 'wasted'...
People into heavy metal don't slit their wrists, your thinking of screamo...when you hear heavy metal you think of black Sabbath, Metallica or iron maiden, all 3 are not emo do not slit their wrists and are normal people, it's like me saying that people who listen to oasis slit their wrists
00:51 Noel says on the band reuniting "Liam said the thought of it makes him want to vomit which in my opinion is reason enough to get the band back together" love the response but it ain't gonna happen given the volatile relationship between them. But it always was like that but i guess in Noel's case you have a breaking point and remove yourself permanently from that situation.
the whole ripping of the posters to get to the questions is alright.. for the the first time but then its gets old real quick and its a bit shit in the end
They should've had a big dueling rivalry type show, massive massive show, then half way through they should've joined up and that shit would've exploded likea bomb. It would've been disgustingly sick, but in a good way. Or bad I guess if you're in the band haha
When he talks about metal and then says 'goth music' lol I wonder what sort of bands he's even talking about? Megadeth? Metallica? Tool? Dream Theater? How can he not appreciate these bands, especially as a musician... I like Noel and Oasis, but they are really streamlined and simple compared to most metal, especially prog. I expect he's talking about scene bands like Bring me the horizon or some shit
you must be kidding .. he is here because of oasis .. he is just giving the honest answer take it or leave it .. and that is how rockers are suppose to act .. !
Yes and no. He obviously is talking half about her and using his infatuation for her in representation of his genre and how it affects other women as well (while saying he only likes the thick ones XD) but yeah. It's drawing on the fact that he's 1/2+ a love song writer and he's illuminating that in the song. At least, that's what I took from it.
Classic Noel as usuall... although interesting to remember he is mates with Twiggy from Marilyn Manson, who has done a few b-side remixes for them... pretty funny to hear him slag off exactly their kind of schtick
Hey, about criticising Heavy Metal, it's totally fine by Me, because I fucking hate it these days anyway! This is why I genuinely like Oasis, because they speak their minds with satisfaction and don't hold back!!!!
I love Oasis and classic heavy metal. Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica...I’d like to think Noel was referring to death metal there. But who knows.
Oasis should have finished years before they did. Or be like U2 and go on for 150 years. Make your point and finish at the top of your game. Like Paul Weller with The Jam.
Hating on Bloc Party is a bit strong, Silent Alarm was a classic... lets be honest Noel is still living off those first 3 albums 20 years and a few hits after, his new stuff is alright but it aint setting the world alight, he's more famous for his opinion now than his music. Most people who go to his gigs are only really there for him to play the odd Oasis song, he's no Morrissey thats for sure. Bloc Party not been the same band since the drummer and bassist left, same as Kula Shakur werent the same when Jay Darlington left.
He an interesting guy.but there are loads of people who end up in the wrong place. Life doesn't let us all be rockstars or millionaires and lots of band's don't make it.
Maybe metalheads (myself included) would be more open to him if he actually wrote something exciting. He also bitches on about Radiohead, saying they don't deserve their consistently good reviews because he can't understand them, or because they haven't defined a generation like he keeps believing Oasis did. I think the narrow minded person here is not the metalheads like he says, but only himself.
Maybe the generation defined Oasis...? Maybe in the UK where they had a bit more success, not so much in New Zealand. But look how much of a legacy they don't have in comparison to the artists that really did define an era. My memories of the 90's include Presidents of the USA's "Peaches". When all the bands started doing that "alternative rock" thing, where stuff got a bit weird without entirely freaking people out.
They definitely did in the UK, not so much in the US, where they were successful, but nothing compared to the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, etc. were much more influential in the US, IDK about the rest of the world.
I could watch Noel Gallagher interviews all day.
Same here. he's funny as hell. I hope one day I can meet him in person.
I could watch interviews with Liam all day. The guys a twat, but a funny one.
Well, I do...!
He is similar to john Lennon so witty.
love oasis and metal, don't base your musical preferences on what others like or don't like.
So true
The king of douches
So magnificent in his unashamed self satisfaction that it's actually modest in a way. He's very raw isn't he.
He's arrogant and down to earth at the same time!
Got every right to be a bit "arrogant"
arrogant but only in the sense that hes got a right to be, because he and everyone else knows how good he is. i wouldnt even call it arrogant. arrogant is more 'im superior to you', whereas noel is more 'im good and i know im good, but i dont think im superior to you as a person'.
@@Segal285 just bitter mood
Always love hearing Noel, common sense great humour, interesting, great song writer and performer. Nice guy.
God I love Noel! His musical genius is enough, but his humor even more.
Grazie per tutto...
Thank you so much for uploading, loved it (:
This guy's a MASTER at interviews. Always comes across so laidback n not giving a toss BUT in reality he's obviously very ambitious and determined to succeed even though he always so blase about success and fame.
I can listen to Noel all day. He’s got such an engaging personality. Funny Liam is more all over the place but he’s really mellowed too.
there were some great questions asked in this interview. 2 thumbs up!
I do love Noel, respect his opinion and I don't get offended if he feels that way about metal, but yeah there's so much experimental and excellent metal music out there most people will never discover. It's shame that general public will miss so many great bands, in favor of all the shait that's in mainstream media.
His opinion of jazz music..hilarious!!! " 4 guys all playing the wrong notes at the same time" lmao.
Brilliant interview. Lyrical genius AND a personality. Rare gem.
This video would be a whole lot shorter if they cut out the virtual ripping of posters and GET ON WITH THE QUESTIONS!!!!!
Omg I'm not the only one who found that annoying as f
@@thomasmcdonough7867..... no you're not!! grrrr....
11:26 "Listen to the White Album if you wanna know about music"
Brilliant
What a lovely word "sottotitoli" is. Sure, it only means "subtitles" (I assume), but it's a nice word. :)
Oh yeah, interesting interview. Cheers!
Thank you! This guy is one of the funniest and most interesting musicians around, you could listen to this guy all day! If only there were more like him.
I'm not the biggest fan of metal, but even I know that at least some should be respected for their great musicianship. The things that some of them do on the guitar I haven't seen you do Noel.
its his taste. can u live with that ?
lol cos you need to be shredding down every fret and string to be a great musician. it's his opinion.
Neil D'Monte
Pantera is commercial crap? get the fuck out
"There's a reason why they slit their wrists." funniest damn thing iv'e heard in a long time xD. im a metal head but tat comment was fucking hilarious. btw Noel, goth/emo and metal are ENTIRELY different lol
Well. Not really.
@AgentOfOblivion ooh, edgy kid hating on popular music
@AgentOfOblivion and Metallica are a typical sounding heavy metal band. But that's only because they influenced so many heavy metal bands, and the same goes for Oasis, they only sound like a typical indie rock band, because they influenced so many indie rock bands. Hey grazie grazie my fellow Paisano amico.
Alright Dave!
"Could you imagine a world without those two albums?" All kidding aside Noel I couldn't, I honestly couldn't. Legend
I "like" Oasis' first few albums, but I could EASILY imagine a world without those two albums. A world without Revolver, The Beatles (White Album) or Abbey Road? I don't want to live in that sad world. Now that's an actual question. ;)
I'd love a radio show with noel just slagging off celebs and putting the worlds to right haha
I saw them long ago. It was special. Rarely am I excited by bands anymore. I saw quite a few, 30 or 40 years ago and since I suppose. Beatles rule.
you've gotta love him really
Thats Club ed in the opening scene, in Lancaster, California. They shot 'The devils rejects' there, as well as others :)
Graaaande.
I love Noel. He is very blount, but you know exactly where you stand.
I love bloc party but his comment about them had me in stitches haha
Noel's "lost artist" of the age - a band called "Smaller" who could have been "bigger"

+maniq minah interesting thanks
cool!
This is because the website I took it from uploaded several clips in different days. I joined these clips and made a unique video. Simple
What he said about Elvis is pure truth
I'm pretty sure Noel used to have more grey hair. I'm pretty sure he dyes his hair, but I wouldn't think he would lie about it.
Dear God, please give Noel Gallagher a late night radio and/or TV talk show. That would surely be a sign that you love us. Thanks!
Noel Gallagher. You never fail to make me laugh. My all time favourite rockstar. Knighthood, NOW!
Every time I look at Noel Gallagher I just think those are lips that beg to be kissed.
He is the most Gorgeous man I have ever seen. ❤
Oh heck yeah! His mouth is very sexy!! 💋💋💋💋💋
te amo así de simple
someone give this man a regular spot an a radio station!
It looks nice.
I don't care if Noel hates music that I love. He's fucking hilarious and we both think that Liam is a tool.
This interview could have been half the length if they done away with drawn out animation in between questions. Just get on with the questions.
Those Gallagher brothers have fantastic hair
Noel is so funny. He makes me laugh in every interview I see.
Wow, the sound man did his mastering in 1930. Time travel is possible.
Many thanks, Any chance of another 2 hours:)?
Love the Marlborough lights story ! Hes a funny lad old Noel !
What kind did he smoke? Benson and Hedges deluxe ultra lights 100.
Lennon and McCartney got it from The Isley Brothers and Elvis got it from Big Momma Thornton.

anyone know the tracklist for the mojo thing?
Does anyone find it funny that noel says his wife went and got pregnant, as though it wasn't anything to do with him. Who done it?
It was tony mccarols last hurrah before leaving the band
"She's got one in the oven, but it's nothing to do with me"
@@barstow_ haha fucking belter!!...only true oasis fans would fully understand that comment
Noel looks especially handsome here. Love you Noelly G! :)
Christ the tearing back the posters cutaway makes this unwatchable.
"4 guys on stage all having more fun than the audience, and all playing the wrong notes at the same time" What a definition that it, brilliant.

Denis Stoyanov The Death of You and Me

Piccola correzione, quando dice "speed" mentre parla di Bob Dylan parla della droga, non di velocità! :D
lol i agree with him so much about jazz

He still did hung out with Metallica!!
He looked real good in his 40s
he would tell em where to stick their Knighthood
What's with all the little breaks??
Don't take his words to much for granted mate.
where is he talking about metal? timestamp anyone?
thx bro
Could they not just have done the concert in Paris without Noel
Haha, imagine Noel discussing the Kardashians, the amount of cursing involved would enter Guinness records :D
just because you can play a fast solo - doesn't mean you have good lyrics. Noel isn't a great guitarist, but he's a great songwriter.
Hahaha. A band from Liverpool called "Smaller". I always thought they'd be bigger...
