    Love your tutorials! So much hard work you put into them, but it shows in how easy you make everything look. Sometime could you share with us stitch density theory? Some of the commercial designs and some of the homemade designs that are filled embroidery feel bulletproof proof they are so dense. Too heavy and scratchy and my 6 year old won’t wear them. Is there a good formula for creating designs like the leaf shown, with lower stitch densities to build up the shading gradually and keep it a bit more pliable?
    Thank you again for your wonderful classes and always being so upbeat when you teach! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

      the best advice i can give you is to keep the stitch settings on default AND make sure the underlay settings are correct. If you have the tatami underlay setting on it will be too thick. Go for the zigzag and the edge underlay. Take one of your bulletproof ones, bring in the EMB file and take note of the stitch count - then remove the tatami underlay and replace it will zigzag...BOOM, a lot less stitches!!

    I am having a horrible time at fixing my underlay...is there a tut. For underlays??

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  5 років тому

      underlay is pretty automatic - the best options are set at default. Use the edge underlay and a zigzag for most projects should be fine. If you use the auto fabric feature, Hatch will set up the underlay for you.
