This was such a great informative video. I personally love the live edit videos but these are equally as great. The music was a bit distracting/ loud. But that could just be me.
John, I love how you explain why you do certain things with such clarity. I have watched this video over and over again. I have learned so much. I appreciate your help. Thank you!
Thanks for this explanation. Some of the concepts that you mentioned here are (for me, at least) difficult to understand on the dream courses. This video clarified my doubts.
This is the series I learn the most from. Thanks so much
Awesome thank you
Thank you! Very helpful to see principles in action.
Thank you for sharing... Good digitizing suggestions... I found the background music distracting...
You never know how far you've come until you see a design like this and immediately see everything you'd change on it. The large gaps were one thing, but seeing the satin cross stitch out on before the foundation was put down? I think the only change you made that I didn't think of was adding the white border. It's such a classy move and after looking at the design, makes a lot of sense. My first thought was just making the black border much wider. Like, 3-3.5mm. But that's just my default for patches (which is what I primarily make).
The one thing that I always get stuck on is what backing to use. I often figure it out, but it's more of a monkey see, monkey do kind of thing. I'm just not 100% sure what to use on what materials. On a cotton material like you had hooped, and for such a dense design, what did you use?
On patches, I usually use something really heavy like Pelon 376 fusible buckram (though it's incredibly hard to find in bolt form)
great video..nice to understand your choices re digitizing👍
I love your guidance but I am one of those people who hate continuous background music . It seriously distracts me!
Great video. Especially when you talk about manipulating original graphics to work with needles and thread
Good video thanks looks good
Thanks a lot!
Please gong the music. Its very loud and distracting.
Have you ever seen a one color design look smaller in a dietetic color. Recently I had a customer tell me I used the wrong design because of the size in white it looked larger done with 1614 Madeira it looked smaller.
Thanks you. Just wondering if you did the underlay yourself so that it has a 45 degrees angle to the fill area. Hatch seems to put the underlay the same direction of the fill.
I’ve found that Tatami underlay opposes the fills stitch angle in Hatch. Zig-zag moves the same direction.
Thank you, very helpful explaining and showing. Music, not so. Really do not need it.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I just E-Mailed you and look forward to read from you 🙏
