Hi Ric the Alabama Blues Man, gutted for you to have experienced this poor fortune with your amp. I have the V22 Head and have had better luck. Hope now the issue with the transformer is repaired you are able to glean some enjoyment from it. The main reason for my correspondence is to ask you how you are not yet on first name terms with the Grim Reaper? I implore you to use a much more cautious approach (and maybe even a bench) should future repairs ever be required. You seem like one of life’s good guys and I’m sure your loss would be of a tremendous consternation to any that know you. Thanks for the video (as difficult and at times terrifying it was to watch) it was both enjoyable informative and would be of value should others find themselves in the same unfortunate situation. Cheers from a very cold and very wet North Wales 🏴. Take care (for f**k’s sake please). Si.
Please be careful 😮with an powered open alltube Case on your knees..lot of harmfull force in these tings (ground? dont know the exact word, in German it calls "Masse") I hope you bring it Back to live because a day without playing is a sad day ♡
I know , I have some electronic Tech experience . I know it is dangerous . Thank you . I wound up taking it to two shops , main transformer had a blown internal fuse . Burgera don’t supply the part . Cost me $170.00 to repair it .
Feel sorry for ya man... I bought my Bugera v22 back in 2011.. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I actually expected it to be junk...but for $300. plus I thought... give it a try... 11 years later and that little amp is still going strong ... other than tube replacements... never gives me a problem... wish you luck....
I'm glad you're still around, brother. First, I'm glad you got it fixed. I hope your repairman didnt charge you too much and that you're back enjoying your amp. I have 2 of the little V-22s and have had a good experience with them. For blues playing in my opinion, they sound great, especially considering the price! Secondly, I would avoid at all cost setting the chassis in my lap while attempting to troubleshoot a yet to be diagnosed problem!! There is enough voltage stored in there to ruin your whole day should it use your leg as a ground! Not enough of us Alabama blues players left and no need to give your family and bandmates the deep blues!!
This guy is the only guy I've ever heard say those are junk. I'm sure they are out there just hadn't heard it before. I have the V55 I love it everybody plays it loves it. I think it a good solid amp. Never had a 22 almost nit not yet. He's talking about that moisture look its rosin splatter from soldering I saw another guy cleaned all that out cause he said it could be conductive. I think he must have got a lemon. Mine works great it's been bounced up and down the road and in out practices gigging no problems this is my second one had to sell 1 never again. I got lucky found one original price if the first one. 315 bucks plus shipping but everywhere else 550 and up
Never turn on a tube amp without a speaker plugged into it. That can destroy the transformer and the tubes. The reason may have been your tubes going bad even when they don't look bad, they can still fail. Hope you got it fixed.

Hey Ric!!
Man of meany meany talents!
Hi, I have the same amp. It bursts the Power Tubes in days. I sent it to 2 techs and none can fix it. Any ideas? Thank you.
When I bought mine, it blew a tube. I got a new set and haven’t had a problem since. It’s about 4 years now.
I found a shop in Hartsell Al , it was the transformer causing my problem.
@@daveduffy2823 I did the same... no luck... cheers!
@@BroRicPatton oh my lord... is that expensive?
I’m partial to Marshall 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

I used to work for Musician's Friend and Bugera amps were the top returned amps for technical issues.
I believe ya
