- All-time home run leader Jocelyn Alo got the chance to play outfield in the final inning of her college softball career - the 2022 Women's College World Series clincher - before one final curtain call in a must-see emotional sendoff.
closed out her collegiate softball career after the Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Texas Longhorns in the 2022 Women's College World Series championship. Watch Jocelyn's last couple plays as a Sooner and her tearful goodbye.

OU softball is incredible. Amazingly gifted elite athletes. I put OU softball only behind football on the impact it has for the school and the fan base it generates.
Sooner basketball will still be my number 1. 94-2003 some great teams and football came back from the ashes in 99
That had to have been so hard, knowing that was her last time on that field, on that stage. I was bawling, but not just because of that. Back in March, my dear , sweet mother passed away. Diehard Sooner fan. I just can't help but think she was somewhere up there, smiling. And here the baseball team will be playing for the natty. I'm so looking forward to the celebration for the softball team. Last year I went. I enjoyed it, it was worth it. But SO HOT!!!!!! I can't begin to imagine the shape the softball program was in when Gasso first got there in '94. Fun fact: That was the last year the baseball team won it all. Will they get #3? We'll see.

Who was that Texas assistant coach going after at the end of the game, that his head coach had to restrain him, I hope not one of the girls 😳.
Was going at the umpire. The umpire didn’t return the home run ball. The coach asked several times. After the game the umpire rolled it over and the horns thought he did it too “forcefully”. And the assistant coach lost his mind.
Can’t expect much when the head coach flips fans off. Just modeling the behavior of his boss.

Pretty common to take stars out of games at the end of their career. Gives the fans a chance to show their appreciation. Jocy got a couple of minutes of fans thanking her. If she would have stayed in for the final out the cheers would have been for the win and not for her.

She’s a big softball star from Hawaii playing for the great Oklahoma Sooners softball team. Two national championships in a row they run ruled 40 games.
She's the Queen of College softball OUr Jocelyn Alo
Alo hit .445 in 267 career games, with 122 home runs (NCAA record) and 323 RBI. Her OBP was .557 and she slugged .987. Those are video game stats, and she could have had a sixth year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 waiver.
